Buying electronics wholesale is a great way of increasing the profits of your business. However, what all aspiring business owners need to remember is that when you buy wholesale, you need to have a high turnover in order to make a good profit.

Wholesale prices are cheaper than the retail price but they aren't as cheap as many entrepreneurs imagine them to be. For example, if a video camera Model A sells for $899 retail, many people believe that a wholesale price would be only a tiny percentage of the retail price - for example, $299 - thus they expect to be able to make $600 per item.

Yeah right! It would be incredible if this were indeed the case - everyone would be fighting to sell video camera model A then! But sadly, this is never the case. When you buy wholesale electronics, or wholesale anything for that matter, you should be thinking of making $30-50 on each one. Maybe up to $100 if you are very lucky.

While wholesale does give you room to make a profit, it requires a lot of hard work, expertise and perseverance.

When selling wholesale electronics, you still need to:

Make sure you can still get a return even after eBay fees (or other advertising fees) are taken into account.
Compare wholesale prices to ensure you are getting the best deal.
Do your research and make sure that you can sell enough units a day to make a profit and gradually increase your wholesale orders (thereby taking advantage of cheaper prices for more units).
Experiment with pricing and advertising strategies to ensure you are profiting as much as possible.

Buying wholesale is a good way of getting products for your business, but don't expect it to work miracles on its own. You need to do a lot of work, always with the aim of increasing your wholesale order to get lower unit prices.
