Hi I'm from oz too but fairly new. You should contact Fudjj or PM him as he is a genius or so they say and might be able to pass on some pearls of wisdom....But seriously PM him and he might be able to assist.

Yeah ok, enough of the genius crap.

Hi scox, nice to see you on board. feel free to post your ebay link to let members give you some feedback, and just yell out if you need anything specific.

Pretty friendly sort of place, so there is usually someone willing to help out.

What part of Oz are you from?

Hi,

My name is Lisa and I am also a newbie from Australia. I am feeling totally lost at the moment... don't know where to start. Does anyone have any tips? I was initially interested in dropshipping, but have read some posts and heard a few negative comments. So now I am just confused.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

I'm assuming that you don't have a start up budget because you were considering drop shipping, and my best guess is that you were looking towards ebay as your marketplace.

If my assumptions are correct, then maybe an option to consider is second hand goods. Garage sales, weekend markets, thrift shops, there is an abundance of second hand resources out there to take advantage of, you won't need much cash you started and if you are a smart shopper, you'll make more margin on your products than any drop shipped can offer you.

Thanks fudjj for your reply.

I think I still might use dropshippers though. To start off, I think this would be the best.... How did you start off? How is ur business going?

Which one Lisa?

I assume you mean the liquidations, but it's very much a part time thing that I do. Really set-up it up to assist international members with surplus stock importing more than anything.

I will have to dedicate more time to it to ensure we provide access to the best loads around, but all that is in the future, few too many other things taking my time at the moment.

Good luck with the drop shopping!

Here are a couple of inexpensive sites that will dropship for you in Australia. I haven't used them as dropshippers so I can't help with a recommendation. I only mentioned them because you will need very little start-up capital. Please do your research before starting.

Graysonline deal in a lot of liquidated stock throughout Aystralia. mostly foreclosures, but business does unload a lot of over stocks through them. Unfortunately it's a very popular site and getting a bargain isn't at all easy for the most part.

I have seen Gray online Auction. It is not a bargain any way. There are several auctions both online and offline as well in NSW. I am talking about live auction.

Hi All,

Adelaide here!! If anyone is wanting to team up, and you are in OZ, please send me an email with your details and what you are wanting to do.

Im new to this, i have been brigning my own stuff in for a while through madeinchina.com, tradekey.com and other sites that deal with chinese and taiwanese prodcuts, but now would like to get serious, and get into the REAL brands, not the fakes copies etc, and also try to avoid ebay and set up a personal site.

Sounds like you?
Just email me at ** Link Removed: Only Available to Registered Members**

Hi all

I'm Sandra and totally new to Salehoo. I have however been dropshipping since March and it is almost not worthwhile. I've come across the same problem listed by many of you and the salehoo team also. Sellers are competing with each other to sell the exact same items and since the marketing material comes straight from the supplier, even the photos are identical, this leaves a buyer with only price, feedback and seller conditions to base their choice of seller on. Unfortunately, lowest price always seem to win and there are some sellers, that for reasons that only they understand, persisit in starting their listings at 99c and more often than not end up selling for below cost. So if you are considering dropshipping, I agree with salehoo members who suggest finding a supplier and making a deal yourself. I'm certainly going to try!!! After all that, I do have a question hehehe. Is there a way to search only for suppliers from Australia? There seems to be very few!!!! Thanks Sandra
