Re: newbie from ozHi everyone,
Im teusz, Currently researching afew suppliers in the hope of reselling afew items as a hobby. Profits would be ideal indeed! Its good to see fellow Australians! I understand the struggle of comming up with a potential suppliers as profits usually shrink when shipping charges are included. I see potential in Australia despite its reasonably small population. Looking forward to talking business. Im in Sydeny, studying at unsw. Warm Regards
Re: newbie from ozHi everyone, Aussie's and abroad! My name is Jamie and I live in the middle of nowhere. I've just joined salehoo in an effort to increase my sales on ebay. Ebay started out as a hobbie for me, selling surplus stock from my family's retail store but unfortunately due to my partners ill health I have to turn it into my main source of income and work from home fulltime. EBay has has its ups and downs as I'm sure you all know, I've done allright so far mainly with children's books. I'm looking to expand my range of products to become more of a general novelty & giftware kind of store, it's a slow process. Anyway I'm stuck on dial up for another few weeks until I get my satelite connected so just thought I would say hi. I'll be back in a few weeks and will seriously want to find some good suppliers and resume trading in ernest! Ah yes, I wanted to ask, do many of you actually find many wholesalers here willing to sell to people without an abn? And where in the forum do most of the aussie's share ideas and information? We are a registered business in the graphic design industry and I've found so far having an abn definately helps when dealing with wholesalers. I've found a few good ones through ** Link Removed: Only Available to Registered Members**
Must go for now, happy ebaying and good luck to you all.
Re: newbie from ozFor the oz members. Did a little searching and came up with these aussie based suppliers. Dont know anything about them good or bad.
Proceed with caution. Hope they help. ** Link Removed: Only Available to Registered Members** ** Link Removed: Only Available to Registered Members** ** Link Removed: Only Available to Registered Members** ** Link Removed: Only Available to Registered Members** ** Link Removed: Only Available to Registered Members**
Re: newbie from ozhi reginadp53
this is just an opion to your comment about ** Link Removed: Only Available to Registered Members** have you ever considered the fact that most australian ebay buyers dont know about oztion if you do as i did and and tell all your past and present ebay buyers about oztion , just maybe they will have a look , and to there surprise they will find that they can get items much cheaper than on ebay it makes me laugh and also makes me sad to see australians fighting and bidding against each other for ridiculous prices, when most times these same items are many dollars cheaper on oztion be an ozy and support an ozy , at the moment all you are doing is supporting a multi million dollar us based concern. all you have to do is send your customers a private email outside of ebay just as i did , and let them know that you are there. its free to list and your consumer rights and privacy are not compromised . ebay is going to have a big shock if they think that the australian accc is going to allow them to dictate to australian citizens on how they must pay for there purchases (paypal for gods sake is owned by ebay , just another way to rape a few more dollars out of this beautiful country oztion is only young and has already got over 300,000 members just think about it if you send emails to your customers and they tell there friends and so on and so on it wont be long before you have more buyers on oztion, yes i agree it is very slow , i have managed to sell $9,000 of stock in the last 12 months i sell mainly top brand electronics no fakes , for instance i sell mobile phones for a buy now price that most ebay sellers start there bidding at yes there are a lot of fake and copy items on all sites but thats what people want especially in the clothing and accessorie department for example ed hardy clothing, buyers bid like crazy on ebay and end up paying nearly twice the cost you can buy it for on oztion . if only they new any way just an opinion
Re: newbie from ozHi everyone, I'm another newbie here, I live in rural Aus. I'm on dial up when ever my vSat decides to die on me which is quite often.
Anyways, I signed up last week in hope of getting some ideas and also where to find suppliers, I've been very busy this last week checking out a few things... and yay I found something I was looking for and put in my very first order today. I've never been a seller on eBay or Oztion only ever the buyer so wish me luck guys and gals. Cheers Lynda :)
Re: newbie from ozHi Lynda, I will wish you luck, you're going to need it lol. It's all good though, just be prepared for a lot of late nights and do a lot of research before you invest too much $. I understand the dial up dillema... I recently moved to a rural area where I can't get adsl but finally got my satellite connection up and running thanks to the Aussie Government Subsidy and lots of fighting with Telstra. I hope you find it's worth it for you, Cheers, Jamie.
Re: newbie from ozHi Aussie Salers

Sahoos very good but i have been looking for liquidators in Oz and only seem to come up with sites from USA, I would love to sell branded Authentic Items,China seems so obvious but totally untrustworthy.Help! losing hair, sleep, time and money any suggestions would be appreciated! thanks and good luck to everyone.
Re: newbie from ozHi everyone i have not been on here for ages...Have been doing really good on ebay. Sold everything that i listed...went to list more and guess what ebay sent me an email stating i cannot list anymore items for 30 days.....It used to be 7 days.which i could handle..but this is ridiculous....so the last two days all i have been doing is trying to find another product to sell...which i think i have...but need some advice on here as i have never sold mobile phones before.
I found a supplier who will supply me with authentic apple iphone 12month warranty with apple. and sealed boxes 8bg and 16gb 8gb $190 if i buy 10...and 16gb $255 x10 just want to know if this is a good deal....and would be interested to know if anyone else on here is selling these phones and how business is going for them....
Re: newbie from ozand if you want to buy 5 for the 8gb its $220.00
and the 16gb $270.00
Re: newbie from ozHi Everyone,
My name is Jason, I live in adelaide, I joined a few days ago and have been looking over the site and reading a lot of topics in the forums and have found a lot of advice. I'm trying to get a business off the ground selling consumer electronics. I decided to sell on ebay to get some experience and start with some small items such as mp3 players to try and build some cash and eventually buy bigger quantities. If anyone would like to share any of their suppliers for mp3 players, phones etc. It would be appreciated. I have come across quite a few mostly in china(which can be risky). I prefer genuine items as they seem to get better final prices. Non-branded items can be profitable if you can get them cheap enough. I look forward to sharing ideas with you all. Cheers Jason
