    MICHAEL JACKSON

Ive seen a sad part of humanity over the last week. the world lost one of its biggest stars when we lost michael jackson. no matter what you think or heard of the man, wich of you didnt love the music? i dont think any of us will ever forget the first time we heard thriller or seen the vid. man that was awesome!!!! but through all the years ,all the scandals, all the roumors, we never stopped loving the music!!!! so it was really sad to see just hrs. after his passing, ebay was jammed packed with michael jackson items, items that people had treasured for years. a quick buck! i think that a shame!! dhgate even crashed twice as their littlt china men sellers scrambled to load up fake jackson items. as for me, i think we all need to pay close attention to michaels greatest song, man in the mirror!

Yea, he was a great musician/dancer.

My friends and I were rockers in high school but his music crossed over and we listened to it. Even Eddie Van Halen played solo in one of his songs and even Slash later on.

wychewes, i or you can not condem what we dont know to be the truth. yes , its certainly a disgraceful charge, but rember he was found not guilty!!!!!

that had nothing to do with his talent!!!!!!1

    Re: MICHAEL JACKSON

Not guilty of latest charge. The first time he paid them off . Which is not the act of an innocent man.

So....following your logic here...As long as you have some talents you can be the lowest form of life and do unspeakable things but thats OK he had talent? Sorry doesn't work that way . It overshadows all else.

His biggest mistake was that he did not spend his money clearing his name. Someone said that about me and it was untrue I would spend every cent I had and every waking moment clearing my name. He did not because his lawyers instructed him that if it went fully into court he would lose so advised him settle.

    Re: MICHAEL JACKSON

^there is a lot more to it than that, and who are you to judge anyone. michael jackson was the understandable product of unspeakable abuse by a vicious father, as well as an isolated insulated life, and a deprived childhood. while it certainly does not justify his actions, IF in fact he is guilty, it sure as hell understandably contributed to why he became what he became.

also, yes this is a trade forum, but the coffe lounge is specifically intended for all topics UNRELATED to trade. do i have to explain everything?

speaking of MJ, one of my fondest memories was practicing the moonwalk after watching him do it when he performed Billie Jean live in the mid 80s. =)

    RIP MJ

hi artpants, thank you thank you you said what i should have said when i made the post.
wychewes, lighten up! no one here is saying its ok to be charged with a crime of such nature .i have a wife and 4 kids of my own. and i can assure you if any one wrongs them in that way, well their would never be a chance to pay off! and i would be in prision.

ive been a michael jackson fan all my life and studying the mans past, i really do not belive the man was guilty of anything! execpt the things that people conjoured up as a way to get a big payoff.

but again he was a hell of a performer.

    Re: MICHAEL JACKSON

Why is it in America if a person is found not guilty they are still condemned ? It is unfortunate that you have had a troubled past wychewes, but you do not know if the man was guilty or not, and furthermore if the state of California really thought he was guilty they would have pressed charges against him, but they did not.

Let me tell you what Michael Jackson did do. He built hospitals, he fed the poor, he set the Guinness book of world records for the most charities supported by ANYONE and he made the BEST MUSIC EVER !

The reason why he did not go to trial is because he did not want to scrutinize himself to a bunch of bullshit from an already corrupt and racist legal system in this country. Do you think really that he would have gotten a fair trial in 1990 for that crap come on give me a break.
Furthermore let me ask you this since you say you were abused. Would you want to see legal justice done to your abuser or just a paycheck ? I have 3 kids and if anyone hurt my kids like that their would be no way in hell I could be paid off.

QUITE HONESTLY IF YOU WOULD PUT SOME THOUGHT INTO IT AND THINK ABOUT IT THEY COULD HAVE PRESSED CRIMINAL CHARGES, AND THEN AFTER HE WAS FOUND GUILTY, FILED A CIVIL SUIT!!!

Don't you remember what happened with OJ after criminal trial, you go to civil. They did not. Hummmmm wonder why ?

However if I was someone who wanted some money, and I knew Michael Jackson was having kids over I think that would be my first target. Isn't that what happened at the 2nd trial? The jury sure thought so.

You know Michael's legacy will be that he was the greatest entertainer of all time period, the scandal will not be remembered because they are simply not true.

There was another man yrs ago who was hated by people for crimes he did not commit. His name was Jesus and he said ' Judge Not Lest Ye Be Judged!
and Let He Who is Without Sin Cast the First Stone.

I think it is important to remember that God put Michael Jackson here, gave him all of his talent, and that it is no ones place in this world to judge him.

Think about this as well his funeral had close to one billion people watching and at the end the pastor had everyone pray, If just half of those people did so the last thing MJ ever did was get 500 million or so people to pray together.
    That's Magic!!

    Re: MICHAEL JACKSON

Well, we all know that being not guilty is not always the truth. Simply look at OJ Simpson. Man, I wanted that guy to be innocent. He was a hero of mine. But the evidence was so good against him. Geez! Foot prints, blood evidence, cut finger, glove behind the guest house and the famous chase. Not to mention the prior wife abuse case.
He was found not guilty and we all new he was guilty.

With Michael, it was different. I personally can understand paying someone off. Not because he was guilty but because he could be found guilty.
If he was guilty, they would have made sure to bring him up on charges and then file a civil case in which they may have won even more than he paid them off with.

Not to mention his frailness and evident shyness. He may not have lived through a full blown trial.

Now his weirdness is something else. If he weren't having sleepovers with children and making wacky statements and letting children into his private bedroom then this would have never happened. So in effect, he let this happen. So for that, he is responsible for everything that happened to him.

But of course, these are my opinions. He may have been an arch child molester. I just don't think so.

Everybody is going to have an opinion on this subject, and that's perfectly fine so long as we all remember that it is only an opinion, and not fact.

While everyone has the right to their own particular opinion, no matter how they justify forming it, if they are going to share that opinion here it should always be tempered by respect for the opinion of others.

It's a nice clean fight so far, and that's good because it is easy to see that it's quite an emotive subject for some, so let's keep that in mind ...............

Like the person who said there was another who was judged so harshly.
I'm not saying Michael was 'innocent or guilty'. It's not my decision. AND IT'S NOT YOURS EITHER! This is only for Jesus and Our Heavenly Father to 'judge'. Who's in charge here? Who's got the authority to go around judging everyone? Who's going to make the final judgement? Definately, NOT ANYONE HERE!

Guys this post was not intended to be about all this. i made to made the post just to say i was sad to see how many were selling off the michael jackson items they had treasured for years. but again if the economy wasnt so bad, they may have thought twice.

as for the issue of guilty or not guilty, well michael has now met the ultimate judgement so we need to judge no more!

if anything anyone has said, including myself, has offended anyone i am truly sorry.

your opions are welcome, but lets do it in a manner thats respectable. dont forget guys we are the salhoo family, we are here to help each other not condem!
