Hi I'm from oz too but fairly new. You should contact Fudjj or PM him as he is a genius or so they say and might be able to pass on some pearls of wisdom....But seriously PM him and he might be able to assist.

I'm assuming that you don't have a start up budget because you were considering drop shipping, and my best guess is that you were looking towards ebay as your marketplace.Marc Ransom

Here are a couple of inexpensive sites that will dropship for you in Australia. I haven't used them as dropshippers so I can't help with a recommendation. I only mentioned them because you will need very little start-up capital. Please do your research before starting.Difficult I can do right away. Impossible takes a little longer

Unfortunately it's a very popular site and getting a bargain isn't at all easy for the most part.

I have seen Gray online Auction. It is not a bargain any way. There are several auctions both online and offline as well in NSW. I am talking about live auction.

Hi allHi Sandra,
I'm Sandra and totally new to Salehoo. I have however been dropshipping since March and it is almost not worthwhile. I've come across the same problem listed by many of you and the salehoo team also. Sellers are competing with each other to sell the exact same items and since the marketing material comes straight from the supplier, even the photos are identical, this leaves a buyer with only price, feedback and seller conditions to base their choice of seller on. Unfortunately, lowest price always seem to win and there are some sellers, that for reasons that only they understand, persisit in starting their listings at 99c and more often than not end up selling for below cost. So if you are considering dropshipping, I agree with salehoo members who suggest finding a supplier and making a deal yourself. I'm certainly going to try!!! After all that, I do have a question hehehe. Is there a way to search only for suppliers from Australia? There seems to be very few!!!! Thanks Sandra

Hi All,Hi Ron,
It is about time we posted to the forum, been going to for awhile but never seem to get around to it.
Ron here, both the wife (Eileen) and I have been members for about 12 mths now so you can see that is about time we joined in.....
We looked into Dropshipping to see if there was anyway to make some extra money (income) but found the same problems as other members have stated here. With limited capital what could we do,what to sell, where to start?
Well we did start with selling off items from around our home that was not being used and just gathering dust, so we sold them on e/Bay, raised a bit of cash not a lot, but it was a start and got the e/Bay bug.
Anyway I was wanting to buy a pair of harness boots (Motorcycle), so went and had alook on e/Bay AU to buy a pair, but there was not much on offer, if I remember correctly, only about two sellers.
One selling Harley Davidson brand, but only had a couple of pairs and some one selling thomas cook boots who also had only a few pair available. Had a look in the USA through e/Bay and found plenty of sellers, all selling just what I needed, but then just as I was going to buy them, I thought hell, if I dont get the size right I will be stuck with them. Shipping was expensive and only some sellers offered exchange on International sales.
So this is how EJ's (EJ's Biker & Western Apparel) was born.
We searched the internet for wholesales of boots to start, many hours was spent on the cp, finally finding a supplier and bought 8 pairs of boots to start things off.
These were listed on e/Bay and sold, the money from these bought more boots, and we kept on reinvesting the money from our sales into more stock, plus added Western Apparel to our range of items.
This all started with me looking for a item I wanted but could not get it on e/Bay.au and with limited capital which we raised by selling off items from around the home.
Maybe this was just plain luck, it was a bit of a gamble to start with, but the money we used was from stuff we did not use around home $1500, that's what we started off with.
So I guess what I want to say is, start by looking around the home, get the feel of e/Bay, and when you find something to sell, (I am still learning about e/Bay) try it on e/Bay raise a bit of capital while you are learning and searching for products to sell.
All the very best.
Ron.
