What kind of issue is Thunderbird giving you? I've been using it for years; would be happy to try to help or point you in the direction of help to get it going.

Does it give you any specific error message when you try to send an e-mail?

You need to find out the POp and SMTP settings from your internet provider.

    Re: SaleHoo Email

    Hi Christopher,

I'm not that familiar with setting this up but I asked one of our senior staff to help out and he suggested -

    POP3

    server
    mail.ddmemail.com
    username
link hidden (your full email address)
    password
    ******** (your password)

    SMTP

    server
    mail.ddmemail.com
    username
link hidden (your full email address)
    password
    ******** (your password)

Kindly make sure that SSL is not checked in the POP3 and SMTP configuration. If you are still getting error, please prepare a screenshot and email it to us at link hidden

Please let us know how you get on.

Hope this does the trick :)

    Hi Christopher,

Sorry for the delay, please note that our technical staff is working on the issue. He had to first install thunderbird since he is not currently using it. I have sent a follow up and I have forwarded your post to him as well.

I will let you know as soon as he updates us.

    Re: SaleHoo Email

    Hi Christopher,

As advised by our senior staff members - please use the following settings:

    Your Name: (Your Name)
Email Address: link hidden (Your Salehoo Store Mailbox)
Password: (The Password you used when you created the mailbox)

    A) Normal Settings

    Incoming: POP3
    Server Hostname: mail.ddmemail.com
    Port: 110
    SSL: None
    Authentication: Normal password

    Outgoing: SMTP
    Server Hostname: mail.ddmemail.com
    Port: 587
    SSL: None
    Authentication: Normal password

    B) Alternatively, if they would like to use secure connection when sending messages, they should use the settings below:

    Incoming: POP3
    Server Hostname: mail.ddmemail.com
    Port: 110
    SSL: None
    Authentication: Normal password

    Outgoing: SMTP
    Server Hostname: mail.ddmemail.com
    Port: 465
    SSL: SSL/TLS
    Authentication: Encrypted password

Please note that this setting does not only apply to Thunderbird, it should also work with Outlook, Outlook Express, Mac email client and others.

    Hope this helps :)
