Dropshipping: How to Calculate S/H cost for One Order!Dropshipping: How to Calculate S/H cost for One Order! I have a website that will be up and running by the end of next month and we are going to use all dropshippers until we can gain enough capital to buy direct. But my question is, with all of these multiple vendors, how can I calculate the S/H so I don't loose any money (i.e., a customer orders 3 items but they are all from different manufacturers/vendors)? So let's say item x, y, and z. Item z=10.00, y=20, and z=35. Total order amount is $65.00 and say I charge 10 for s/h. But each dropship vendor, charges for s/h: x=5.00, y=5.00 and z=10.00. That's 20 in s/h charges, and say I make 30% commission total, which = 19.50 on total ordered. See how I can't make money due to dropshipping from multiple vendors? Anyone have a solution?
You could separate the same dropshipping company by page. Then say everything on this page has combined shipping. Any item gotten from a different page will not qualify for combined shipping with an order from this page.
Or markup enough to offer free shipping. Also Why dont you just offer itemd from one company
You may be better off spending a few bucks and getting quickbooks professional so you can manage all your vendors(eg Dropshippers) on product pages so you can keep better track of your items. Weights and other nessicary info together on one program. You can also manage your shipping and all of your orders using quickbooks. It is an esential tool and will make your operation run 50 times smoother once you figure out how to use it.

Wow. Now I gotta go enroll in a class for Quickbooks or get one of those Quickbooks for Dummies! Thanks!

I ran into the same problem and just decided to use a flat rate shipping price for all items. You may loose a dollar or two on one order but you will make it up with others. This has been working well for me so far.
