Hi Everybody! I received a dispute on paypal regarding Unauthorized payment from one of my customer on eBay. I have proof of delivery that the item was delivered at my customer's confirmed paypal address. The package required a signature on delivery and the recipient sign for the package as well so this is my proof of delivery of the package. Now here's the catch! My customer filed a chargeback on their credit card issuer stating that they did not authorized the payment but If they did not authorized the payment, then why in the world will they accept the package? So this is my case right now. I am going to fax proof of delivery to Paypal with the recipient's Signature. I will also call the my customer tomorrow and I will ask why he filed this dispute if he is trying to fraud me, I will take him/her to court. This is the first time I have experience this so I just want to share this experience here on salehoo.

I just talked to one of Paypal's customer service and I also fax proof of delivery which is the package tracking number and the signature of the recipient. Paypal's customer service said that I'll win the case and even if my customer's credit card issuer doesn't do the reversal, paypal will cover me for the full amount. I called up my customer today and I also email him stating that if this case doesn't get resolve soon and my business gets affected, I will file a fraud and damage case against him.

Wow Im shocked paypal has done anything for your problem. I switched to a merchant account so I would not have to deal with a Middleman deciding the fate of a transaction.Wholesale Directory by SaleHoo

I do have first data as a merchant account but I also accept paypal. The one thing I am having trouble with on eBay is they have this Payflow gateway where you have to register to link your merchant account with. I do accept direct credit card payment through First Data but I have to manually send my customer an invoice through my shopping cart.

Just to help other members here on salehoo that if you believe an (individual or company) is committing fraud, by all means, please file a complain at link hidden and show this fraudster a taste of their own medicine!

Well there is the slight chance the individual simply signed for the item not knowing what it was. If this is the case then he should just return it.

That might be the case but they have the item for over a month now so it's unlikely that they don't know what is going on. On the other note, paypal has assured me that even if my customer's card issuer don't do a reversal, I am still covered by their so called sellers protection on which they will pay me the full amount. I am not going to just stand aside though for this people to just scam me so I took action and reported them.
