I have recently noticed the amount of complete idiots on ebay has increased. And am starting to feel it in my feedbacks.Wholesale Directory by SaleHoo

Jimmy it is funny that you mention this because the last 3 of my transactions have involved fraud. I sold an iPod touch now the funds have been put on hold because the buyer claims he did not make the purchase even though he signed for it and I have a copy of his signature. I sold a camera to a guy that requested me to send it to another address as a surprise birthday gift. I usually don't do this but it was a cheap camera and I did it as a favor. Turns out that it was not a birthday gift but he was using me as a dropshipper! I am now currently in another situation with another iPod where the buyer is claiming that they did not make the purchase! This is the worst it has ever been!link hidden WHOLESALE LIST

I have 4 transactions that I filed for an unpaid dispute last moth and it sucks because you can't give these member a negative for not paying. I also have a buyer that was mad because I emailed him/her a tracking number which is kind of weird because he/she should be happy I am letting her know that her item has been shipped out and doing an open communication. And these are the people that have 5 to 0 feedback.

I don't know how I do it, but I never have a hassle, buyers pay on time, and I've only ever had one dispute filled against me as a seller, and after 6 weeks I ended up winning....much to my shock!Marc Ransom

Well I can go the entire year. Not one negative, But it seems like December and January I seem to find some way to get 6-7 negs. I guess its because everyone has the winter blues or are stressed out.Wholesale Directory by SaleHoo

eBay should put an option for sellers to block new members that have 10 - 0 feedbacks until they contact the seller to allow them to bid/buy an item because it's kind of getting out of hand where as these new members just click buy it now and never pays. Of course, they're not going to think twice because they not going to have negative anyways because sellers can't give negative feedbacks. But thanks jimmy for the idea of taking pictures of the serial number just case of a dispute and claims he gets a used or defective unit. At least that way, you have proof of some kind that the buyer is making a false claim. Excellent Idea! Thank you! =)

Excellent Idea!Yes I actually learned that from another powerseller on the ebay forums a few years ago when I had a similar problem on a motherboard I sold. This was the first incident though that it paid off. He ended up trying to file a charge back which he later lost.

I got a neg because I didn't return a message in 24 hours. I didn't even state that I did.

I feel ya bud I had one guy send me a message on a Sunday night at 5PM left me a neg for not responding at 8PM. And my ebay page states we are closed on Weekends. I use weekends as catch up days where I generally don't answer questions. People must really think the only thing we do is sit in front of the PC waiting for their message. I have 5 email addresses, 3 ebay accounts, phones, and several other methods including salehoo I have to watch. Im lucky if I can check them all once a day lol.Wholesale Directory by SaleHoo

Yeah I would agree that Godaddy is really going the right direction. Godaddy gets thousands of visitors per week & now if you get listed in the shopping directory they do upgrades, etc.

Now you can't even leave feedback anymore, negative or what not because they complained on both ends. Only feedback you can leave is a DSR that goes for both buyer and seller.
I've been going the way of Big Ticket Depot, Amazon etc. and hardly had any hassles at all there BTD will broker and sell your big ticket items for you, so there you can make sure you get full price and payment by credit card. I guess that's something not even looked at on eBay. Though with any larger transactions or amounts I have always dealt with something or another, its just alot less frequent on Amazon or Bonanzle or iOffer it seems like. Better marketplace or just less crowded with possible fraud.
Another place that seems to be doing great work now is Godaddy Marketplace I have noticed its getting to be quite nice.

That is the Big Ticket Depot. A pretty new one out there. I've been checking them out for a bit. What Big Ticket is good at is direct sales of big ticket items, like for instance S 3000 stereos by Panasonic or something you can't find much in the stores.

Hi DWM. I looked at your listings & they seem professional. Your pics are good & so is your text. I can't really tell you how to get traffic to your eBay stuff but I have a link posted on my My Space & Facebook pages. If I have a customer that has bought, lets say a pacifier, then when I have other 'baby' items I email them to let them know I have other things they may like. I have gotten repeat business by doing that.

So that's my best shot at answering your questions. Looks like you are using a lot of pictures & that gets to be expensive!
