    I'm New and Feeling Lost, HELP!

    Hi, my name is Leslie and I live in Australia. I buy more than I sell on Ebay however I have a desire to succeed and joined Salehoo in the hope of doing this. I am committed, willing to learn etc. but I genuinely feel LOST!

    I have found a few products I really like and would be interested in selling but when you add shipping to Australia it prices it out of the market so I dont know how people in Australia are selling similar items on Ebay although perhaps they buy in large quantities.

    If anyone out there has any good advice for me on how to get started I would really appreciate it.

    I already work full time buy my partner has had spinal fusion on 2 levels and finds it hard to commit to a job and we felt perhaps this would be a manageable way to generate a medium 2nd income and something I could assist with.

    If anyone out there is able to offer advice I would be more than appreciative. Perhaps i need to find supplier from Australia but I dont seem to be able to find them either :-)

    Welcome to SaleHoo. Glad to meet you.

    We have a number of members from Australia and even our community manager is from down under so I'm sure in no time you will have all the first hand (experience) advice you are looking for.

    But you know the wonder of selling online is that you don't necessarily have to sell in the same country your from. If shipping is an issue you can try selling in the same country your suppliers are located to avoid such an issue.

    By the way, what products are you interested in? We'd be glad to help you search for suitable suppliers.

    Hi Leslie,

    Using eBay as a way to help supplement your income is a great idea!

    One of the benefits is that your partner can work hard on it when he is feeling up to it, and taper down if he is feeling tired.

    Something we recommend to a lot of our new members is that they start by selling a few things from around their home.

    Most people have thousands of dollars of stuff lying around which they no longer use or want.

    Selling your old stuff means you can get some practice at selling without having to invest any money on stock.

    It's a bit like a 'free trial' at selling on eBay!

    I suggest you read our Beginner's Guide to eBay. It starts our pretty basic - setting up an account on eBay is one of the first steps it suggests- so skip this part and go to the 'Find something to sell' section which will help you get some ideas for what you might have around the house that buyers are currently looking for.

    You will be selling more than you are buying in no time ;)

    yo soy un nuevo miembro de saleshoo.
    yo quiero vender ps3 y al buscar me doy con la sorpresa de que los precios son mas caros que los que encuentro en ebay como puedo vender si en ebay lo encuentro a mitad de precio.
    Por ejemplo en saleshoo lo encuentro a 500 dolares y si busco en ebay me cuesta 250 dolares

    Hola Juan,

    eBay se ha convertido en un mercado extremadamente competitivo y no es raro encontrar productos de venta a precios iguales o inferiores a mayorista.

    Cómo puede ser esto?

    Debido a que muchos de los mayoristas venden en eBay directamente al público! Desleal, sí, pero su la realidad.

    Qué se puede hacer al respecto?

    * Orden en grandes cantidades para impulsar el precio al por mayor por
    * Vender en otro sitio de subastas de eBay - hay montones para elegir y los márgenes de beneficio son generalmente mejores. Craigslist es también un buen lugar para vender, si usted vive en los EE.UU.. (Háganos saber si usted necesita más sugerencias sobre lugares para vender en línea)
    * Liquidación Comprar - Esto le permite obtener productos por centavos de dólar. (Te dejo un secreto, es así como muchas PowerSellers ganar dinero en eBay en estos días)
    * Encontrar un nicho de mercado con pocos competidores - de colección y única de los artículos tienen márgenes de ganancia increíble, incluso en eBay.
