    Liquidated Merchandise

I cant seem to find a forum on Liquidated Merchandise. I am looking to buy some closeouts from vendors in my state and want to know what to look for in a Liquidated company. I mostly buy new stuff but i want to get in closeouts.

    Re: Liquidated Merchandise

Sorry ez, don't personally know of any in that area, and with the economy being as it has been state side, quite a few of the smaller operators have closed the doors, even 1 very large operator has been forced to close that I know of.

It is of course smart to be trying to keep the shipping down, but it's more important to be dealing with a trustworthy supplier when you are talking about the surplus market.

Via trading out of LA will ship throughout the US, and the secret to getting the best shipping price is to buy multiple pallets. Where one pallet will cast somewhere in the 200 dollar range usually, three pallets may only cost 100 each, so it makes the stock far more cost effective.

If you didn't want to ship three pallets, the other thing to watch out for is shipping half pallets. You will find that most times it will cost you just as much to ship a full 5-6 foot pallet worth of stock as it will to ship half a pallet, and I've seen a lot make that costly mistake.

RS Trading is another you might want to consider if you do ship, but always check the type of stock it is you're buying, as with any supplier.

    Good luck with it.
