Brand namesI was at a site ** Link Removed: Only Available to Registered Members** where they blatantly sell big brand name fakes. Is it advisable to stay away or can you safely by them knowing they are fakes.
John
you can buy them, but you can't sell them as originals, stay away.
But I could sell them as fakes though couldn't I.??
Of course you can. The question is: who's going to buy your fakes. Most people hate fakes.
Actually fakes are very popular with thrift shops, Flea markets and its also a very heavy market for tourist attraction outlet stores located in places like Orlando Florida.

Really?? That's what I don't know. So there are "fake" stores in Orlando, but is this legal?
As long as its noted as designer inspired its ok.

There are fakes and there are replicas. Fakes are cheaply made copies of designer goods. Replicas are well made and the price will reflect this. However, beware of buying fakes if they purport to be the real thing. You can't sell fake designer goods which also have fake labels pretending to be the real thing. Don't even try to sell anything like that on eBay. You will have your listings pulled and may even be prosecuted under eBays VERO policy. See eBay policy on fakes here :http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/questions/vero-ended-item.html
You can sell overruns or replicas but the replica has to say designer inspired, that's all. Its a big difference and it changes the whole game alltogether.
But if you find out later from somebody it was a fake, that's hard to take care of and there are many badly done fakes which look completely real. So you always have to doublecheck them as fakes can be hard to spot, and you can always sell the fakes out on craiglist usually until they're gone. Remember to cross your Ts if you deal with a high end brand item, then you will never run into issues.
but how can you sell designer inspired goods when there replica's with brand names on them such as gucci, prada, chanel, fendi etc, etc, etc. There all replica's but have the logo brand name on them, does this mean you can still sell them with the brand logo on the item but sell it as designer inspired. Does this still fall under the same as copyright infringement for the brand logo being used to sell designer inspired goods. Confused.
cheers darryl
By saying in the title and description that its designer inspired, that's the only way.
Otherwise it must be an overrun aka a legitimate item. If you sell designer inspired it has to say that in the description and then VERO will not have any issues ever come up... I've sold all types of items some very expensive some no more than $30, the result was always the same. Make sure they are legitimate or if designer inspired put that in the description with the proof to back it up.
hi
but what about the logo on the goods, like let's say a fendi, looks like a real fendi, but it's a copy with the logo on the item, so can you still say it's designer inspired even though the logo is there to see. cheers darryl
Hi I am new to all this. I live in New Zealand and have been reading the new posts. Can anyone tell me is ** Link Removed: Only Available to Registered Members** okay to trade with as well as ** Link Removed: Only Available to Registered Members**.
Also can anyone recommend a wholesaler that wholesale anime videos. thanks Lucy
No you can not sell the fendi on eBay or uBid, you can only sell those on craigslist or places which buy designer inspired goods.
Those fendis are otherwise just replicas that they don't endorse, the only way to get rid of those is through the classifieds and thanks for the important question. Yes it can not purposefully break copyrights without permission.
hi
still did'nt answer the question, if the item has a designer logo and it is a copy, can you still list it to sell as designer inspired even though the logo is on the item. cheers darryl
