Merchant account

Merchant account

Post designerthriftshop 30/01/2008 22:55

Hello. I just opened a merchant account to use on eBay. It's through merchantsinc I have already linked it to my eBay account but I have a few questions. Hopefully someone that has experience with them can help me.
*In the products tab it says I need to import my products to the shopping cart. Do I have to upload every item I want to sell?
*How do I put items up for auction on ebay? Through the shopping cart or do I just normally list like I would on eBay?
* Is there a way for me to create a "Click here for payment" button to use on my auctions? How do I do that?
*eBay is telling me that in order for me to take credit cards through a merchant account I have to send them my last merchant account statement. I don't have one so how can I send them that? Is that standard procedure?
* The shopping cart gives you a code to paste on your auctions for payment. Any suggestions on where to put it? Like at the beginning of the auction or at the end & can someone show me an example of what it should look like?

Thanks for all your anticipated input.

*How do I put items up for auction on ebay? Through the shopping cart or do I just normally list like I would on eBay? You need to create a template that you would use when you create a listing. All your listings can be modified using a html editor like frontpage or dreamweaver

* Is there a way for me to create a "Click here for payment" button to use on my auctions? How do I do that? Go into your shopping cart. Under settings click the ebay checkout tab setup your information and use the html they provide you in every one of your auctions. Its best to place this info many times in your auction becuase you will have many stupid bidders that cant seem to read. This will help those idiots find the payment link faster lol

*eBay is telling me that in order for me to take credit cards through a merchant account I have to send them my last merchant account statement. I don't have one so how can I send them that? Is that standard procedure? Sounds like a Load to me. I have been using my merchant account for 4 months and I have never sent them any information.

I dont actually use thier banner I just use the payment gateway link. I just add that in many places on my auction. Like credit card logos have a click through to the shopping cart. I have my own payment button and Ive even linked the link to text within the auction where the payment instructions are.

Thanks for all your anticipated input.
