Not trying to get rich quick, just want to pay some bills.Ok so, I have already asked about starting an Ebay DVD store and I have come to the conclusion that with only $800 bucks to try to get me somewhere, the DVD thing just ain't going to work do to the mass amounts of competition online. So here is my situation, I am not trying to get rich quick. Of course that would be nice and all but the fact of the matter is, I HAVE BILLS TO PAY and minimum wage ain't cutting it. So What can I invest my $800 in to slowly work my way up to make at least $1,000 to $2,000 a month after taxes and fees so I can pay rent. I am familiar with a wide range of products and can easily learn anything and everything to sell the product with a high amount of customer service and satisfaction. As long as I can do this from home, I will enjoy myself even if I am not selling the product of my dreams. Again, fact of the matter is, I need to pay the bills. Any ideas or tips are much apreciated. Thanks! -Matt. :)
Re: Not trying to get rich quick, just want to pay some bills.O yeah, just wanted to add, I am not asking for someone to place the answer in my lap. I understand that business is about working hard, research, and finding things out on your own by making the right connections. I am simply being asked to be pointed in the right direction. My first business failed and the one I wanted to start basically wont work. So now, I am not sure what to do next. Again, just looking to be pointed in the right direction. Thanks.
Re: Not trying to get rich quick, just want to pay some bills.I would say watch auctions on ebay. Many of them are selling low because frankly the economy is crap. I bet you can find some really good steals, Turn around and resell them locally on craigslist . Im currently finding many items that normaly sell for $50 sellling for half and less that.
Sellers are dropping $200 items for 99 cents left and right. Frankly its become pretty pathetic lately. The last truckload I unloaded I probably could have made twice as much if I sold it on craigslist or locally. So I would definately say there is a market for buying items off of ebay and selling them locally. Jimmy

Re: Not trying to get rich quick, just want to pay some bills.Have you ever tried selling digital items and information products? These are high profit items and do well for me on eBay.

Re: Not trying to get rich quick, just want to pay some bills. When you say "digital items and information" do you mean things like audio books or e-books or what ever? I was actually wondering about that but wasn't sure where to go to sell a product like that. Secondly I like the idea of buying from ebay and reselling because it is true about the market, ebay as totally screwed it up. I have always been afraid of cregs list because I have never used it and wasn't sure if I would get fast responses but I will look into in more depth. Thanks.
Re: Not trying to get rich quick, just want to pay some bills.i like the idea of buying from ebay and selling on craigslist. i didn't know that ebay's prices where getting so low. i am curently selling items on craigslist, and it is pretty easy. i have only bought from one person on ebay and it went horribly wrong so i havent been back, but now that i have a lack of inventory i will bid back in. If the item(s) that i want have a great buy it now price i'll go for it and save some time. just remember that ebay is going to get you bids and if you go over to craigslist you are going to get haglers, so craigslist is a great sight for a salesmen/saleswomen.

Re: Not trying to get rich quick, just want to pay some bills.Just some ideas.... Please do not use your $800. at once try these low budget options before buying things you cannot sell....
1. join something like ** Link Removed: Only Available to Registered Members** or ** Link Removed: Only Available to Registered Members**. it is a good system that shows you how to start earning while you are learning. This helps you design a system that will give you long term income. Gives you opportunity to create several streams of income. 2. Go to forum.digitalpoint.com and search for popshops. In general you will find alot of info there for free. Go to Squido.com and create at least 5 lenses pointing back to your shop... check out you tube and type in popshops then check out tiffany dow as well on google or you tube. Join ** Link Removed: Only Available to Registered Members** as an affiliate and then go to ** Link Removed: Only Available to Registered Members** sign up for the $5 account and open your own store based on cj products. . 3. Go to ** Link Removed: Only Available to Registered Members** and ** Link Removed: Only Available to Registered Members** and look for popular merchants. like abercrombie, aeropostale, hollister, american eagle. Go to ** Link Removed: Only Available to Registered Members** or Ebay and do a search for completed items that sold last week to see what products sold for. Use this link to check your fees and profit before you list and then scale up to your desired income. This is the link for the ebay calculator. It also includes paypal fees as well. ** Link Removed: Only Available to Registered Members** hope this helps....
