does paypal really charge per transaction? and how much. i was reading a post and it said that paypal charges $30 per transaction. help. i am new. :shock:

Hi! If you have a premier account or business account with them, they charge 2.9% based on the amount. Say you receive a payment of $500, multiply that by 0.029 and you'll get $14.50 on transaction fees. If you sell on ebay, i suggest using bidpay. They charge 2.1% based on the amount you received and it will go directly to your checking account =)

I agree , I myself have moved to bidpay on my auctions. As they are much cheaper and have better seller protection. Meaning they wont jump to depete you account on thier personal whim.

Dont bother with paypal. Most buyers pay direct with thier credit cards, You dont need paypal.
