what item is it? if its big and heavey i can understand the shipping costs. No its like a few MP4s andMp3s not much weight there?
the only thing ive been reseacrhing with dhgate lately are headphones and shipping for me starts at about $30 and goes up by 15%-ish for each added item.
try searching for that same item with different sellers, even if there are none now, try next week as different sellers change what they are selling etc.

ah but the space needed will do it. espessically if each comes in its own box. but look around some more and maybe shipping might be less with a different user

I had the same problem with dhgate, I ordered off James and I only ordered 3 small items and the freight came to $240AUD which is crazy. Some sellers do combine shipping I just think its a shame that you need to email them and wait days and somtimes even weeks for a reply when you need the stock urgently. The problem could be fixed so easily by upgrading their checkout system.

I purchased almost same variety of items from Chinavasion and shipping is only $50... I think you are right DHgate has got to get act together with a better checkout system.

I think it's because if you order only 3 or 4 items, it's not considered 'wholesale' so you get almost penalized with the shipping costs.

Yes but most serious buyers only order small amounts for product samples before they buy bulk. I know that I always get smaples before sending large orders there way. I want to make sure I know exactly what I am getting. Quality is one of my companies standards.

I have looked at many different sellers on DHgate and the prices vairy alot. Perhaps it has to do with how remote the area is where the items are picked up. I wanted to buy some PaPe hoodies but the shipping cost were way too high. Ipodsish mp3 mp4 players are only $40us for 5 from some of the other sellers. Look around till you find someone shipping cheeper. I would like a report on how cheep and dependable the China Post Office is.

which is usally alot more. well makes sense as its better to waste a little money on one item then to waste a LOT on like 100 items

I have had this exact same problem with Dhgate before. The shipping ended up costing me mroe than the actual products. I was making a killer saving at the time, so it didn't bother me so much, but I know what it is like. The more you buy the cheaper it gets. Thats the key.
