Newbie - need advice on what type of products to sell and eBay selling

I am new here.
I have a domain, specialgifts.asia, which I want to develop as online shop. BUT FIRST, I would like to sell in eBay. I opened an eBay account, now it is inactive, have to reactivate it. Tried to sell some books from my bookshelf but haven't sell anything on eBay yet.
I cannot give much budget to buy items from wholesalers (expecting my first baby in 8 months time). So would like to focus on selling using dropshippers. My problem:
(1) Do not know what to sell
(2) Never had experience with dropshipper
(3) What is the correct strategy in eBay???
Could you give me some advice? Currently, I am learning from Salehoo's forum and its education materials.

A great way to find niche markets and hot products to sell is by selling stuff from around your home. There are two excellent reasons for starting out in this way:
(1) Feedback is hugely important for any eBay seller. With a feedback rating below 10, it is going to be difficult to get people to take you seriously. The first 100 sales are the hardest as buyers look for high feedback as reassurance that they can trust the seller.
Generally, the higher your feedback, the better - with powerseller status being the ultimate goal.
(2) You get to sell a range of products and see what works well. The results may surprise you!
Nothing beats knowledge gained from experience and selling stuff from around the home is the best way to get it without any risk.
After some practice with goods from around the home, I recommend buying small wholesale lots of products that most people use on a daily basis.

Here are some general tips for getting more sales:
* Work on your product photos. Good pictures convert to more sales. And statistics show that the more pictures you have, the higher the selling price. If you are selling clothing, consider getting a mannequin. For other items, purchase a photo tent. This is an easy way to get a clean, professional background for your photos. Buyers will always choose a professional picture over an amateur one.
* Make sure your item description provides LOTS of detail. Buyers like to learn as much as possible about the item before they buy. The best sellers on eBay have lengthy product descriptions to ensure the buyer isn't left with questions that might prevent them from bidding.
* If your feedback isn't skyhigh, then work on it. eBay buries sellers with low feedback ratings in the search listings, so less people are going to see your items for sale. The best way to get your feedback up fast? List as many items as you can and consider having a sale (either reducing the item price or offering free shipping). Even if you lose a bit of money now, you'll reap the benefits in the long term when your feedback is higher and your listings more visible.
* Try offering faster shipping. Ship the DAY payment is received if possible. Buyers have high expectations and getting their item delivered in record time leaves a great impression.
These tips may sound simple, but we see SO many people neglecting these things in their listings, it's just not funny. Nothing turns a buyer off like a grainy, dark photograph or a single-sentence product description.

The current strategy on eBay is to start slow and work on buyer satisfaction. Your initial goal should be to reach 100 feedback of good solid FB.
Build a good solid Paypal account with as little refunds as possible. You may run into some but keep it as low as possible.
Realize that Paypal will hold much of your money on up to 100 FB. Expect this and work within their policies.
Using dropshippers makes this more difficult but doable. You may need some extra funds to cover the purchase of dropship items, because when Paypal holds your money, you have nothing to pay for the items but new funds.
When building a Paypal account, make it a business account and think through each step. How much business will you or expect to do in a month? Make sure to leave yourself enough room when Paypal asks this question or you open yourself up to holds.
FULLY! verify your Paypal account before opening an eBay account. If you didn't, do it as soon as possible.
