    Sending money to China - Reliable options?

    Anyone knows of a reliable way to send money to China?

    I'm buying some stuff from a supplier there in bulk and need to make payment of several hundred dollars.

    I've discussed using PayPal with them but generally, in China, it's very hard for them to apply any PayPal account due to some reasons. I think it's difficulty in getting credit card in the 1st place.

    I heard Western Union is not a safe way since the recipent can just deny and say they never receive anything. Any other options? Is bank transfer safe enough?

    As long as there's some sort of acknowledgement of receipt provided, I'll be assured.

    I've checked the supplier and chances are that they're a 99.999% real company and not some scam.

    Another person looking to lose money and give US currency to crims in China!

    Did you do your due diligence?

    Did you run a whois report and check them out on Alexa?
    Do they have a company email or the infamous gmail?
    Do they have an address you can look up on Google?
    You can also google earth them and see the exact location.
    Then you can ask them questions about the area.

    Did you check them out here from other sellers on Salehoo or scam.com or ripoffreport.com?

    Did you do a search on google for complaints from other buyers?

    Did you do a test run?

    I hope so because if you didn't you money will be gone the moment you
    WU or MW it. 99% of the businesses online from Asia are a ripoff.

    Yes I couldn't agree more with Planes. Please do all due diligence. Check the authenticity of the company before you do a transaction with them.

    Do ask them for BIC number; export license, full contact info and their payment methods. Perhaps you can ask them for LC payment. This is another way to find out if they are out to SCAM you.

    I have been sent fake pictures of export license's fake approval for CE and DOT fake business email, you name it they fake it.Fake escrow fake products fake everthing.Also some people like to sell recalled products,you say wow what a bargain,just to find out later its recalled.Just today i was sent fake documents from a company.Sure ill buy your 185.00 apple iphone and way below cost computers.This is from a European company.Apple phones wholesale price is around 280.00usd

    I am just curious as to what kind of items you are buying. I have a China connection and I can accept PayPal but the items I can get at the present time are limited to MP3 players and some digital photo frames.

    The day i posted on here ( the above)a company from europe sent me pictures and prices along with a photo copy of a license.The prices were so low it had to be a complete fraud.Besides it was spam anyway.Sure they fake DOT approval on scooters and dirt bikes from china.They assume you will buy if its approved for emissions and all that crap.After someone buys and its shipped to their country it dosnt meet the epa standards and such and your whole shipment is taking away.So they send fake certificates to dump bikes that will not pass for approval.

    You can find many companies who do such that.Just do a internet search.They source the product for you check out the factory,make sure the company is real and in good standing.

    Yes, unless you have a great referral you can higher companies to do this for you.

    Outside of going to Asia this is a great way.

    Just don't hire someone in Asia do it for you, as you could be set-up.

    Its better to hire a company in the country you reside.

    If your in the US look for brokers on the coasts where a lot of Asians reside.

    Asians are an interesting culture.

    I just saw 3 Asians in a cigar shop I frequent spend 2000$ in one hour on lottery scratch tickets.

    They run an Asian restaurant next store. They spent 1000$ while I was there and came back over in 10 mins to grab the other 1000$ from the shop owner.

    These were 20$ scratch tickets in lots of a 100.

    The guy that runs the shop just handed the guys the other 50 tickets without payment. I guess they scratch them and then pay those winnings back to the guy plus any other money out of their pockets. Or they win enough total.

    Very strange but interesting and fun to watch.

    I will have to see if they won anything when I go back.

    In my experience, there is always an initial risk sending money to a supplier for the first time. Start small, and when you build up a good relationship increase the amount.

    Western union is a risk, but is very quick and easy to send and receive large amounts of money, and you do have proof of the money being sent on a receipt.

    Tip: NEVER get sucked in to buying a huge order the first time you are dealing with a supplier, no matter how genuine they may look and sound.

    I have many experiment with china supplier. all of them is scammer,unless you have middle man in china.They will send fake items or never repsond back for you.
    Paypal is not safe for you also.I have contact paypal, they are not escalate for your money. They only take report and watch the company that you have reported, if the supplier keep do it over and over and they may take the action.If anyone find a good supplier in China let me know.thanks

    Its true that paypal probably will not help you in the event of a scam, but that is usually the best option as most of the others make it very easy to 'take your money and run'.

    Everyone starting out on here needs to know that you can't just find the 'ultimate supplier' the first time you buy, and that you will need to risk some money to get started. Like in any other investment, there is always risk involved, just do your research first.

    Oh and from experience, one sign of a bad supplier (or scammer) is the Manufacturers photos on their website and not actual photos of their stock, look out for that, but it could be just case of they can't be bothered taking their own photos!

    What you do is get your Paypal balance down close to zero. Then when you attempt to make a purchase it will give you other options to do such.

    One of them is credit card. So then use a credit card, not a check card and make your purchase through Paypal.

    Ok now if you get ripped-off just file a complaint with your credit card issuer.
    Paypal has nothing to do with it and must by law comply with your credit card issuer.
