Well Let me give you a little insight.

First, I have been an ABO certified Optician for 5 years. I have worked for a company called Luxottica since 2003. They manufacture the following:
Chanel. Bvlgari, D&G, Prade, Versace, Rayban, Ferragamo, Burberry and the list goes on.

They are to eyewear manufacturing like Wal*Mart is to big retail chain. The other 2 major players in the eyewear market are
2)Saffilo: Gucci, Dior, Valentino, Diesel
3) Marchon: Fendi, Coach

I have also worked in high end optical boutique selling Cartier, Face-a-Face, 2.5, Lindberg, RObert Marc, Oliver Peoples, Gold and Wood. I have had account with the 3 major manufacturers listed above and know how they operate.

They do not wholesale at all. Period!

The only way to get an account with them is to have a physical storefront. All 3 have Stringent criteria for giving an account including having a Rep from the company come check out your store and take pictures to see if your store fits the style they are wanting to promote.

Wholesale prices *Usually* are about 60-130 USD per frame.

You *CAN* find liquidators who do purchase overstock and who do sell at below wholesale. Also, you will probably not find a legitimate source who will drop-ship eyewear. That is basically unheard of in the eyewear industry. Anyone that will dropship will have over inflated prices and will prob be selling fakes.
However it took YEARS for me to find the company that sells genuine product, so I am not going to offer it up.

Please Stay away from anything coming from China. They are ALL fake. Gucci, Dior, CHanel etc Do NOT attach any cards to their eyeglasses and for the Most part do not have *Chanel* or *Gucci* written in bold white letters on the lenses.

SO, to address your question. The best thing to do is find liquidators, stay away from China, they WILL be fakes. As for what is selling. Vintage, over-sized. I have, however senn a recent surge in interest in the Aviator style and more modern takes on the aviator. Also anything with rhinestones (aka "Bling") usually sells well.

Hope this helps a little bit. But designer eyewear is just like designer eyewear. If the price is too good to be true, it prob is fake.

If you do find a site and want me to take a peek,PM me with the site and I can tell you in 2 seconds flat if the eyewear is fake or not. Also be careful when you do find one. Order a small sample first. Sometimes Scammers will send legitimate product the first time round, then when you place a huge order send you cheap fake crap.
