Making money with drop shipping?

Post agasssilovesme 07/05/2007 08:29

HI there

I have spent months researching a lot of other people and read a lot of what people are having problems with. Is there really any way of making money with dop shipping as eveything seems so hard and negative. For e.g. Don't deal with these goods and it' shard to make more than a 5-10 dollar profit margin. We all seem to be going around in circles and ending up with more ebay fees

Cheers Deb

IMHO: Drop shipping is nice, but, you can't get the returns like you can buying wholesale or direct from Manf./Supp

Just my 2 cents, but, I feel your pain, would be nice but, you have to manage allot of transactions to get a decent return.

Some people have and do-do it, but, they won't share casue then everyone would do it. LOL

Find a niche product line and stay away from the over saturated things that everyone is selling and you can be profitable.

Niche selling is the way to go..

The fact is, selling on eBay isn't easy. It's possible, and lots of people do make a lot of money, but it takes time & dedication. You wouldn't expect to be a concert pianist in a couple of months would you? To be successful at anything, you need to put in the blood, sweat and tears!

As DropShipWholesalers says, niche products are the way to go. And you have to work out ways to minimize eBay fees so they don't impact on your margins too much. You can use eBay's value packs, eBay stores and host photos from another hosting site or your own website.

Some people are prepared to put in the time and effort required to come up with the creative ideas necessary to differentiate and be successful, while others will give up when they don't start raking in the dough in a couple of weeks and move onto the next 'get-quick-rich' scheme they stumble across. Which group do you want to be in?

We are more than willing to give you as much help as you need on the forum etc, but only you can put in the time :)

Don't sell anything for less than 30% markup.

Use optional insurance to make an extra $2 or $3, all dropshippers insure their items.

Never pay a monthly fee to a dropshipper.

Listing fees

Post bayericlowe 10/05/2007 20:23

Do not use the full price listing fees on either eBay or uBid this is the key to success..

Create your own store that accepts direct credit card payment.

Then rather paying for anything or any fees, just stick your listings/website into automatic traffic generator pullers which in most places are totally free.

****ANY**** pictures of store products are hosted on my own free website. Not anywhere else.

So I cut out the middle man and all the extra fees on basically everything.

Then, research your supplier front to back it doesn't matter if you trust them more than the world. Do it, its just common sense.

Be close to your suppliers, versus the marketplace, and you'll succeed and go very far.
