Question about selling iPods

Question about selling iPods

Post Dowdy 05/06/2006 05:18

When i sell iPod do i have to have some sort of licence to sell them?

I look at big retail stores here (Target, K-Mart etc) and when they advertise their iPod they say "Authorised Apple Reseller"

I know on ebay you don't have to have one but i plan i making a stall at a computer market, selling iPods. Do i need to be a "Authorised Apple Reseller" to sell them at markets?

I dont want some guy in a suit coming over to my stall and shutting me down and seizing my stock because i'm not an "Authorised Apple Reseller".

If you do sell on a stall ' make sure you hire it out and not open your own 1 up in the middle of highstreet because thats interferring with main retails and you can get shut down instantly and may be a small fine.

How ever if you hire a stall out in a market or some place or in a accepted place ypu open a stall then no 1 can stop you.

YOU CAN RESELL PRODUCTS.

BUT WHEN YOU RESELL THEM MY FRIEND ' AND IF YOU DO GET POLICE OR UNDOCOVER INSPECTORS APPROACHING YOU THE MIGHT SUSPECT YOU ARE SELLING STOLEN GOODS' SO ALWAYS HAVE THE INVOICE READY ALONG WITH THE SUPPLIERS PHONE NUMBER SO THEY CAN VERIFY YOU THAT YOU ARE A GENUINE SELLER AND NO CROOK.

GREEN SIGNAL YOU GO FOR IT ' THERES HUGE PROFITS TO BE MADE O APPLE IPODS EVEN I HAVE THEM ON EBAY SELLING.

BEST OF LUCK

Ok, thanks for that. I've been selling ipods on ebay for awhile but i want to start selling in markets now and see how it goes.

The market i'm talking about is a 'computer swap meet'. Usually held most Sundays. You usually get more buyers and the prices are higher then ebay. I went to last weeks one to research the prices. Some people were selling 1GB ipod replica for $95AUD - everyone here knows you can get them for $30-40USD, so you can make a real killing on them. They weren't even selling 2GB. I saw one stall owner selling a 1GB MP4 movie player to some ppl for $185!
I'm also plainng on selling some Nokia chargers i have in stock. One stall owner was selling them so i asked the price (just to get an idea of how much i can sell it for). He said the price was $15, i said "OK, Thank-you" and he kept on trying to make a sale with me. Then he said $12, i told him "Nah, I'm OK" and then he said $7. I couldn't get away from him! He bargained HIMSELF down 3 times within 20sec :P
BTW, I paid $2 for my chargers
