Hey folks I am new to Salehoo . I have been selling on eBay for about 3 months now selling mostly elliptical trainers when my supplier kindly notified me that they didn't want me to sell their products on eBay . My business fell flat . One word to describe how I felt : depression :? .
Now I am trying to pick up and move on . The salehoo newsletter recently referred me to China Vision . I've got a few question for you experienced people .
1) Can you make some decent money by importing from these guys if you are a dropshipper only at this stage ?
2) As I was reading China Visions shipping policy I was informed that my customers would be paying and import tax . How can I find out what that would be (especially for the U.S . ) or for any country for that matter . Does this turn customers away ? Should a person who can only afford to dropship right now even think of importing ?
Lastly , if you guys have any advice or encouragement for a new guy struggling to succeed I would love to hear from you guys and gals . I live in a very small town without a lot of opportunities for advancement . I am trying to make a better life for my wife and our new little son .

My advise is stay away from China
for now. There are plenty of Drop
shippers here in the USA,.
Here are the reasons
1) The prices are not that Good.
2) Its takes to long to get your merchandise
3) There only a few drop shippers in China that you can trust.

When your dealing with drop shippers its important to get your orders shipped ASAP, customers don't want to wait for weeks. Tracking numbers must be generating right away. I have been selling for a long time and the best thing I ever did was to join SalesHo. I avoided a bunch of mistakes.

I use several drop shippers and doing well. I use Ebay, but mostly use Ubid which is very good for me. But it is a numbers game, the more you have listed the more your going to sell.

I selling udid better than eBay ? I have though about selling on there but didn't know much about them .

Also I have one more question since your are more experienced . Is it better to try and find a niche or sell a lot of different things ?

Well, both really. Niche markets are good because you are not selling what everyone else is selling, which makes for better mark-ups and increased profits, less competition, etc...

But selling a number of different products is a good thing also. At least try to get about 3 product lines going. This way if one product line happens to suddenly dry up, you will still have a couple of income streams coming in and won't have to scramble around and worry about an income while trying to find a replacement product line
