i know i seen a topic here about pay pal fake emails is this one of them...notice the email its not even my email it was sent too....my email is jennifer blah blah blah

I get them all the time. Just forward them to paypal. And if you get them from ebay, just forward them to ebay.

I've noticed since I forward them to either place, the emails from that person does stop. So they are working on it. Thank goodness!

I had the exact same email sent to me. Don't respond to them or use any of the links on their email, forward them to paypal just like mslilly said. If you check your paypal account it will show you if your account has been limited. I called paypal about it when i first got one of these. They said they get thousands of these forwarded to them daily, and of course they're scams.

A friend of mine got one of those types of emails from ebay and made the mistake of clicking the link and entering her info...

Thankfully she was talking to me on the phone at the time, and mentioned the email. I red flagged her right away and made her go change her password immediately. Then I had her send it to the spoof reporting through ebay. She's now a lot more careful of those types of emails.

One good rule of thumb... Never click a link in an email claiming to be from paypal or ebay. Always type the direct address into the address bar. Also, the ebay toolbar comes in handy. It warns you when you aren't at a real ebay or paypal site.

I am another person that gets these regularly. I wanted to try and spoof them back using an old email address from an ISP that I canceled a long time ago and a password I just made up to see where this would take me. I was not accepted, so they must know my real information to some extent. Paypal confirms that the emails are fakes. Do not click links in these emails. Go directly to Paypal and login to your account, not from the email

Yeah i get those a lot too. Paypal says that they will never ask for your credit card information in an e-mail so make sure to look for that. Also put your mouse over the link that your're "supposed" to click on in the e-mail and it will tell you where that link leads too. It's always some random website that you have never heard of.

If you ever have a question about your paypal account I've found it best just to call them rather than respond to the emails. They're very easy to get ahold of.
