I am interested in selling ebooks. I notice that alot of ebayers sell the same e-books. Is there a restriction on what type of ebooks one can sell? What about novels?

You must be either the author of the eBook or have resell rights in order to sell on eBay. If you have these you should list this fact in your auction as being the case. You will notice many of the eBook listings having the 'disclaimer' clause directed towared eBay enforcement.

Yes, you are correct in observing that many eBayers sell the same old worthless trash! That is why is it much better to create your own informational eBook. The payoff is much better than passing on trash. Your reputation is at stake as well.

On novels, you might consider looking into old public domain novels. They are free game in selling. It's all about how you repackage it and market it. The hook is what you are looking for.

I have sold ebooks, the real money is not there. It is getting the customer to opt-in to your email list and then email them affiliate offers, etc... Ebay is advertising in the ebook business. It is good to get a web editor, like xsitepro. and optimize your site and that will bring in traffic. Much of the money within the digital world bases off the email list...
