I joined because of the advertisement that WII consoles were not sold out and $288. I know WII's are in demand but everything I look at has them for ridicolous prices or not US versions. So... looked for other products and having the same luck. :cry:

Can anyone suggest some products or even just trustworthy suppliers that they have actually been successful with and made a decent profit? Thanks so much.

I have been a member of Salehoo for sometime and I also operate my own wholesale site. You have to realize that we are in the biggest shopping month of the year. Prices and stock on one of the hottest items out right now may differ day to day. I do not think anyone is out to screw anyone over. The major department stores sell out of these within a hour every time they get some in. Just because you can't find the Wii for $288 right now does not mean this site is a hoax or scam it is just the nature of this business.

If everyone else is sold out did you think you were going to come here and find some magical place with thousands and thousands of Wii's for sale?

I joined here and have not found one supplier I liked.

BUT.......

This forum has expanded my knowledge base and abilities in sourcing product and thinking outside the box.

I have found through my own research some leads that will be helpful to me.

Also, do not forget the liguidation market. You will need at least 2Gs to profit in this field and I would suggest flying to the suppliers to meet them in person.

One thing I have learned is you need to do a meet and greet with suppliers in some format. Some can be done with a phone call and others, you will need to fly to them and look at their operation.

Keep in mind that even though it is eBay and online you cant do everything from your armchair.

The research process can be grueling and a big pin in the butt.

I added another forum which is free and based in the UK but has some data that is valuable. I find in that forum the gurus are more willing to share experience. Now, they wont give you their contacts but you will get an education in how things are done.
