That really sucks for you.

This is yet another reason why I refuse to use Western Union for any company that hasn't been verified to be legit. And for ebay, it's CC or paypal all the way for me.

Yea dont use western union, ive been bitten $1700NZ, and i have told myself i will never do it again...

Watch out for communications 1 limited, and always do a through backsearch of the company before you get into paying them.

I did a gd search, their address, location, phone number, but still got scammed! so please be very careful!

You may want to contact gmail and see if they could provide you with any help such as any information on him. He may have given his personal information to them. Also if you provide proof that he scammed you, you MIGHT be able to get them to track some of his emails. If they see anything fishy, I'm sure they will put a stop to him and allow you to prosecute him. He has to send his personal info to someone using that account!

Thats terrible.

Those people who hack ebay accounts and tell you to make payments through communication via gmail or any emails are traps avoid them.

Please avoid western union i too have been victimised by western union .

those phones would be well on their way to nigera by now :( sorry to hear that mate. I clearly state on all my auctions on ebay that I will not ship overseas in the hope that they dont annoy me. Just remember the main rules as mentioned above do not use Western Union money auction and never ship to Nigeria. In one instance a friend of mine sold 50+ phones to Nigera and took cc details down and even got a copy of drivers license to match! it was still fraud, these guys are good.
