Is eBay quiet? Also, is a shop worth it?Is eBay quiet? Also, is a shop worth it? I've not been getting any sales on eBay recently, but fair enough, I haven't had the items up for sale for long. But still, they are decent items in a popular category (electronics) up at prices that are, maybe, a 10% mark-up, more or less. Is eBay quiet recently?
I'm also thinking is it worth opening a basic shop? I've tried to read about it on eBay but their fee structure is confusing. Is it cheaper in the long run to upload loads of items?
Re: Is eBay quiet? Also, is a shop worth it? I would suggest opening your own online store. We did that a few months ago and it has been a slow going process. Things are starting to pick up now and hopefully we will build a reputation for fast shipping and good customer service. The best part is we get to keep all the profits and don't have to give them to eBay!!

Re: Is eBay quiet? Also, is a shop worth it? I already have a store with ecrater, but I've had it for nearly a year and have never made a sale. Any other ways to set up an online store?
Re: Is eBay quiet? Also, is a shop worth it? We use CubeCart and we have full control over everything. We decide on the products we carry, the price, the shipping, and the looks. If your going to get customers you have to bring them in by advertising your store like crazy!!!
