Dropshippers

Post Journies2107 02/03/2008 05:39

I am going to be opening a website selling consumer electronics int he near future. I currently sell on ebay but i sell alot of the same type of items that i stock at my home. I need to find a reliable dropshipper not for ebay but so that i can use to fill out my website with more product so it looks more professional.

I came accross doba.com but they charge a $50 monthly fee that i am not fond of but may be worth it because they are a big company so probably very reliable with shipments.

Any suggestions will be great

Thanks
Ernie

I would steer away from doba. Alot of people have complained about them.
I would suggest www. dbldistributing.com thier reputation speaks for itself and they have something like 37,000 items in the electronics field. They also have the best dropshipping service out there.

how are their prices? It doesnt let you look at prices unless you sign up, but they wont approve you unless you have a website. So fromt he sounds of that they sound like a serious company but i would like to look at prices before i sign up for anything

Their prices are good if you do not plan on selling on ebay. You can definitely compete online with their price as long as you have a online store or storefront.

** Link Removed: Only Available to Registered Members** is very good, I use them to sell on ebay, the shipping is very fast and they send you the tracking, I've been getting good feedback from customer saying that the packing was great and fast shipping so I'm very happy, some prices are very good and some are a little bit to high you have to look around, they have over 200,000 product in stock, I didn't get the website I just got the dropshipping service, I paid $99.00 for the year after that I think you have to pay $40.00 each year, anyway it's a very good dropshipping service.

I relay hope so. I feel violated when someone is just pretending to ask or give advice and in truth is advertising. You find fast out, but by the time you find it out you already have lost your shirt.

If you guys are recommending something you have tried and really want to help, than describe what is you like, what have you tried specifically and succeeded or failed doing so.

Trying to mislead and confuse is not what community like this is supposed to be.

If you are advertising, just say so and explain your offer openly so we may give you a chance.

ok as far as the site the guy up there said dropship by design i have their website plan i bought the combo package last january of 2007 their websites are ok theres a lot of good but some bad ,items are incorrectly in wrong catigorys like you will be looking trough computer stuff an find a cell phone item mixed in and some dont have pictures and they leave out of stock items listed foreever but they are listed as out of stock but you do have full control over your website from pricing to advertizing i even offer credit offers on mine i get paid for when people sign up . the whole sale prices are good enough to compete with any other website out their but it always seems on ebay some one always is selling stuff either below my wholesale costs or right around mywhole sale costs if theres 10 listings for say play station 3 it seems atleast 2 or 3 people will be lower then my wholesale costs thats why im trying to find a better supplier for auction sites but i do love the website i have trough dropship by design the good does outway the bad with good advertizing you can make money from their websites mines ** Link Removed: Only Available to Registered Members**

My comments are a little late, but I'll add them anyway. I have an account with DBL, and it seems to me that the pricing is generally pretty good. They encourage you keeping your own inventory by offering a lot of specials that offer discounts off their regular catalog wholesale prices.

As for dropshipping, they offer two sort of service. If you have an account where dropshipping will comprise less then 50% of your business, they charge a $4 dropshipping fee. If you have a fulfillment account, where dropshipping will comprise more than 50% of your business, they charge a $3 dropshipping fee.

According to a DBL sales rep, it is against their TOS to sell their goods on eBay.

WYNIT is another wholesale distributor with good reputation. They also provide dropshipping but at no extra cost. I do have an account and find them to be proffessional and reliable.

I will add concerning eBay, that it is really hard to sell consumer electronics because it is to competitive. Buying large lots of liquidate electronics brings the price down so that you can be competitive, but for many of us, buying that large lot can be pretty expensive.
