Im hearing alot of AU members complaining about Ebay lately. Might be something do do with the forced paypal issue and other changes they recently did on ebay AU

Scams have been going around ebay for years. I would more believe its Ebays own changes that are hurting its AU market. The us market is Down a little but slowly picking back up.

hi jimmy
australian ebay is near death i have made one sale in 1 week, to me ebay has done some major damage here to it's sellers, maybe to the point it will take some time to recover. A lot of sellers are jumping off ebay, and going on other auction sites, sure they don't have the traffic as ebay have. But at the moment, ebay could'nt give a flying f****k about us down here. Yhe only thing i can see is the smaller auction sites are getting bigger and bigger because of what ebay is doing, there shooting themselves in the foot. You know scatch my back and i will scatch yours, but do me wrong and i will tear you a new arse hole.

I think between e-bay policy changes and the us economy gone to hell,
It could be the almost death of e-bay. Or at least as we know it now.
e-bay has gotten so big it is starting to swallow itself. Here in US jobs
have dwindled, bankruptsy and mortage foreclosures are at an all time high. gas and food prices have skyrocketed. The mostly middle-class american is struggling just to pay their necessities. I am sure this poor
economy we are experiencing is starting to be felt around the world.
Right now the general attitude is... if its not necessary, dont buy it. I dont think its going to get any better till at least fall here.

I opened another eBay account just to spread my wings so to speak and have seen some brisk sales.

My collectible items are moving pretty well and Im going to the shop I get things from this week and will list like mad.

For you Australia guys. I have an idea for you. The first person that PMs me will get the idea. It not a super idea but one that might get you some decent startup money for other things.

Its not a link to some website and Im not making any money off of it in any way. I'm just feeling a little generous today.

You wont get rich but you might get a few hundred dollars in your pocket, maybe more. Its an eBay idea.

Are you selling on the US or AU version of eBay?

I have been selling on ebay for the past three years and this is the quiestest I have ever seen it. Ebay is making a lot of changes such as only allowing payment via paypal from June and all listing must have paypal as of May. They are also making it hard for sellers by not allowing them to leave negative or nuetral feedback for bad buyers. I am starting to list on other auction sites as well just incase ebay goes BUST!

Ebay is making sure they get plenty of money out of sellers with higher listing fees and final value fees than any other auctin sites - than you are also going to get slugged with the paypal fees on top of that! Ebay needs to do something now - or I will have to pull my 1000 items off it!

Cheers

Could the economy be an additional factor? People jsut dont have the money any more??

Im in the UK and since the new terms for digital downloads, my slaes have been slow around 5 per day compared to 15, but the sales are still there.

I've started using ebay to sell Clickbank prodcuts, netting me, $179 in 3 days. i am currnetly trying out 10 ads in the hope something drops.
