knowing that most big retail stores have sometype of return policy and a company credit card. you could actually make money with this "basic" information. i read all over salehoo and the problem is that many people are chasing the same success very little creativity and even less ambition.

i'll confess i work for bestbuy i never thought of them as a supplier untill now. imagin having a supplier you can get exclusive products from and never have to pay them until you sell making a "profit" all the time. i will share this information to salehoo members only!!

here is the simple process to make a easy profit every month with authentic products and no chinese fakes.
1) walk into your local retailer and ask if they have any promtions going on
2) ask them also if they have any payment plans perforably no intrest for xy months.
3) buy a bulk of items and politly ask for a discount they won't refuse trust me
4) list your items on amazon or ebay make sure you have a buy it now price that is higher then what u paid for the single item.
5) most retailer give you a 30day return policy at the end of the 3week just to be safe return the items that havent sold back to your retailer for a complete refund.
6) repeat from step one after awhile u will build a relationship with the management and they will give you a better price.

It won't work for everyone. Trust me, you're better off buying from online channels then from a large store in real life.

Most of the stores are delineated to a specific agenda and they won't even sell to you, the ones that do have a chip on their shoulder or a pre-conceived idea of how things will go.

Best Buy is a corporation. Unless you have paperwork, its not even advised to deal directly with Best Buy and try to buy all their stock off them - even overstock.

If for instance you want a particular item that is being liquidated, you're better off going to directron.com or an affiliare store like zreiss.com. There not only will you get liquidated stock you can buy, but you'll get it at absolute discount or also in bulk.

The other option is to just simply buy bulk lots off liquidation.com and enter a liquidation sale, as they no matter what always have to get rid of all their supplies. They carry too much stock to start with.

You wouldn't have much luck just going into JC Penney's and hitting to buy all their Tiffany jewelry for instance. However some very good stores online I know of, wholesale stores, will let you have that merchandise at under 1/8 cost and let you buy a whole bulk lot.

They will also sell you truly good designer TVs, supplies, answering machines and other info products that are being liquidated.

The key to being a master of your business is to look and figuratively hunt for liquidation. I can find liquidation sales anywhere, if I know where to search.

One story I had me walking into my local mall outlet, the store in question was simply getting rid of all DVDs, games, and accessories.

This is known as a liquidation prime time sale. I simply bought a whole sack of goods for next to nothing and then re-sold every one of them with interest at retail-above prices- they never got any of that in stock ever again.

And of course there are always places who you may not know about that are going to liquidate their stock. These are often factory overruns, taken right from the spot site, approved and then released which you can then take all of them for resale.

The key is really in knowing where to look and what your niche consists of, what they are going to buy, and knowing your supplier. And the only way to completely do it correct is keep an eye on any places that automatically liquidate their stock. Its up for grabs and they want it taken away.

I personally just setup broker accounts with retailers I want because I can move alot of volume. And I pay upfront for truckloads. But there are companies that go out of business all the time even the big retailers close shop. Its too expensive to move that product back to a distribution facility and then back to another retail outlet so you could make deals with companies closing near your area. You may be able to drive away with a car full of stuff cheap.

i know how much employee cost is unfortunatly i can buy the store out with my employee price and resell them. but knowing exactly which products are marked up is extremly vital. i found a product that i can buy close to retail and still make a $10-$13 profit online without my employee price =]

Hey fishaman, does Best Buy still offer a really good employee discount? I remember I knew someone awhile back that had a rediculous employee discount with them on select items and he sold really well on Ebay with it.

Also I have kind of done what you suggested before. I found 5 nintendo wii's at a best buy back when they were selling well above retail on ebay, bought 5 and sold them..the best thing was..if they suddenly went out of demand or fell below retail (which was impossible for the wii) I knew I could return them for full money back..it's selling with no risk and it was pretty nice.

And it was not mentioned that this only works for large orders of items, you still have to pay the up front bulk cost.

Honestly I disagree. I propose instead that if you have something that is very worthwhile saleswise and eBay or Amazon doesn't like it, to find an alternative place to sell those items.

And sell all of them there consistently as you can always point out who made the item, whether it was design inspired or not, etc. etc. Classified Ads work particularly well for goods that are inspired by design or otherwise made outside the U.S.

Create your own traffic to your store and sell all your products that way. Then for anything else or niche items, sell those at the proper venue such as eBay or Amazon.com using retail standard prices.
