He changed his mind - What should I do?He changed his mind - What should I do? Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do? After the guy wins the bid he sends me this:
"hi, i ended up going to the local home depot and picking up one of these lights for $19.99 . I really didn't get home in time to contact you to cancel my bid. sorry for the inconvenience . thanks!" This is the first time I've ran across this so I'm not really sure what to do. I'm afraid that if I just leave him negative feedback he'll leave me negative feedback. I guess I could just let it go. He was the only bidder so I can't just let the next bidder buy it. Thanks, Jack
Re: He changed his mind - What should I do? In good faith I would just let it go & move on. Why go through the hassle? Just relist it & chalk it up to experience.
Re: He changed his mind - What should I do? Thanks for the help. That's what I figured I would do. I just had not ran across that yet and I thought I would see what normally goes on in situation like this.
Re: He changed his mind - What should I do? Just contact the winning bidder that you'll have to file for an unpaid item to cancel the trasaction so you can get your final value fee refund. Let him/her know though that his/her ebay account will not be affected by the unpaid item dispute. Also, tell him/her that it is important that he/she respond to the dispute so his/her account will not be affected by the dipute. Once he/she respond and you get your final value fee refund, just relist your item and wait for it to sell =)
Re: He changed his mind - What should I do? Thanks for that info. I already told him don't worry about it and I have actually already relisted it. I will definitely do what you suggested.
Re: He changed his mind - What should I do? You're Welcome! =)
Re: He changed his mind - What should I do? If you ever have this situation and your item has several bids you can also second chance the last bidder if you agree to the price. If they really want the item they will agree.
