Ebays new rules for selling off websites?I thought i read if you were selling a website that fell under the digital delivery deal and u had to do a classified. yet i still see auctions for this...what exactly is the rule. i would like to list one for sale as i am in over my head time wise with selling buying and trying to fun a family but dont want ebay to suspend me as can so easily happen these days!
Re: Ebays new rules for selling off websites? You know what I say? Screw eBay or uBid. Just run your own classifieds at your site put the link in your profiles everywhere. Then drive traffic to it over and over. Nothing they can do about it!
The days of an eBay/uBid monopoly on any kind of online sales are LONG SINCE OVER.........We now have enormous traffic going to alternative sites and they have dozens of interested buyers. Then of course there's Bidville, which is starting to become eBay's ultimate competition. They are in over their heads you can list anything you want for free on Craigslist and nobody can do a thing. Drive traffic to it by the hundreds, the thousands, and let the fools find their own way home!! Enough of this idiotic submission to these sites. Don't pay their ridiculous fees. Don't do any of that or list anything unless you absolutely HAVE TO, and lets begin the traffic migration to the wisest alternatives worldwide like Bidville.com.
Re: Ebays new rules for selling off websites?
Simply email eBay and ask them.
Re: Ebays new rules for selling off websites?Yes you will still see some digital items listed, but eventually they will get noticed and get pulled. Most of the time it catches it on the listing form and gives you an error message right then...
Don't get frustrated at not being able to list a "digital" item. Just take the material and/or links and put in on a cd or dvd and sell it like that. It only cost a dollar or so to mail a cd...and the item can normally demand a higher selling price since it is then a "physical" item....Just remember there are always options to everything....
Re: Ebays new rules for selling off websites?
The problem is that eBay is the place to be still. Even with the crap they are dumping on us. I have visited the places you say and there just isnt the traffic. I appreciate your attempt to drive people away from eBay. But Ebay drives 80 million people to their site each month. I think the trick is to stay with eBay but build up other streams of income. Like Amazon and the other auction places and craigslist.
Re: Ebays new rules for selling off websites?
Not anymore they don't!!! Its down to under HALF that, and if you people stop going it will drop again. I've noticed more traffic than EVER before at Bidville and the other places mentioned and I've been selling things FAST. So tell others to drop the '"ëBay"" miscarriage like a BAD HABIT, all that is needed, is traffic. The more traffic you receive or can create, the more sales and customers and never ending transactions for your store.
