ebay fee hikes. Alternate ebay sites?

ebay fee hikes. Alternate ebay sites?

Well, ebay is saying they are going to raise their fees. If you go to the ebay forums alot of people are not happy and are leaving ebay. It's mainly the store owners complaining but i don't like the idea of the final value fee increse so i'm thinking of leaving too.

I browsed through the forums to see if they were taling about any other sites out there.
For the aussies they were talking alot about this site ** Link Removed: Only Available to Registered Members**. It's free to list, which is the best thing, it also has an anti sniping system (if anyone bids in the last minute, the end of the auction is increased by a minute). The customer service is REALLY helpful and friendly (i told them i didn't like the pink color scheme and they said they might change it to green within 2-3 week). I just listed an item on there (which cost me nothing). Easy to list, not just have to see if it sells.

Any other ebayer thinking about leaving cause of the fee hikes. I didn't really want to leave, i just became a power seller.

Thanks for the link, I never saw that before! It is really frustrating Ebay keeps raising prices! It's almost like Adelphia cable did for some time, raised rates constantly, so I finally moved to Direct TV, and they haven't had an increase yet. Not sure why they do that, when they have so much business? Why can't they just be satisfied for awhile!!?? Ugh.

Here's hoping they don't!!!!!!

I guess it would depend on how well that site is doing? Does it get the hits that Ebay does?

Yea! I getting tired of ebays high rates. And if
you don't use the gallery you don't get any bids, and its expensive.....I'm using a site called auction.com.

Its a lot less and I'm getting a lot of action.

John, can you post your link to that auction.com?

I get frustrated with Ebay and their technical service to be totally honest. They have that stupid live chat, which is most of the time worth nothing, I don't think those people are trained enough - they do not know much. I feel sorry for people trying to list on Ebay who has never done it, they would be thoroughly confused, because all they ever do is point you to some help link. Then when you email them, it takes 2-3 days for them to respond, by then, you've answered the question by reading for an hour.

Hi Jennifer77

I looked at solditlive and was looking at
all the posting but no one has bids. Its kind of
like ** Link Removed: Only Available to Registered Members**, this auction keeps sending mails saying
that they are the best yet I'm looking at the listing
all I see -o- bid.

Blessings to all!

Right. I dont know how long it takes for something to get "big".....Ebay is such a big thing its hard to look at something else.

I have bought from yahoo auctions b4...since there is not alot of traffic there (compared to ebay) i resold the item on ebay and made 3 x what i spent....weird how things work.

Hello Michelle

At Auction.com I have been getting a lot of
Nigerian bids....and it is clear that I will not
export and it must be a Paypal USA Verified address yet they keep bidding...
Be careful because when I send them invoice
they are sending fake emails. Money waiting but
they are all spoof emails....

Does anyone know an alternative auction site that has descent traffic and weeds out those nigerian scammers? Most of these auction websites have 0 bids on just about everything. I've tried other auctions such as yahoo and amazon and got some traffic but had a ton of nigerian scammers!

hi all
ebay is quite frustrating and is really turning off many valuable sellers/buyers.

here is my latest ebay fiasco....
i reported a buyer for email threats (bodily injury), and ebay was kind enough to make the big mistake of suspending MY ACCOUNT by accident, instead of the person i reported.

they removed over 250 listings, all my ebay store items and set me back over a week, with no sales for that time.

i called them, they said they were sorry for the mistake, but there was nothing they could do after they reinstated my account.

WHAT??? Ebay is rediculous.

If you post your pics on a website and there are plenty youcan do so for free, u just use FTP transfer and put the pics up on ebay at no charge to you. All you do is use the free pic and then import the rest

I have lost money not made it, on ebay. I had two bids that they wouldn't let me remove from scam buyers from Nigeria. They even had a verified address and a paypal account but it was all fake!! They even tried to get into my paypal account...with a spoof email. It is impossible to sell items with all of these scam artists. I wish that Ebay would do more to keep them off of the website. I owed money for items that I would not sell to these people. They were never intending to send money just scam me...I also am interested in finding out which drop shippers actually can be trusted to send the merchandise. I am new to SaleHOO AND DO NOT know which ones to use. Any suggestions?
Thanks, 312gloria
