Forum Home > Products - Discuss a Specific Product > Serious Aussie buyers wanted for teaming up to buy in bulk!Serious Aussie buyers wanted for teaming up to buy in bulk!Serious Aussie buyers wanted for teaming up to buy in bulk! Hi Everyone,
As you would all be experiencing the same thing and that is to get a great price on anything to be able to make a decent profit on ebay or websites you need to buy items in bulk with pretty high minimum order quantities. My suggestion is we make an alliance and all those interested and willing to commit and put their money where their mouth is and we place a large order with Sony for example for the upcoming release of Playstation 3, or any other products we want to combine in and we all then reap the rewards. We can all sell on ebay and make some good money instead of wasting our time trying to find suppliers with small moq. The idea is not limited obviously to Sony it can be anything that a group of us is into or would like to sell, eg: Billabong, Osh Kosh, Nintendo, etc. There are enough people in Australia wanting to buy off us all so it is not a matter of underselling each other as we would all have to agree on a minimum sale price, you can sell it for whatever you want thereafter. Let me know your thoughts. Looking forward to hearing from you all! Jenmat1973 :D
I am open for suggestions! It will depend on what products people want? And what the minimum order quantities are for those products. We would then have to work out what quantity each of us are willing to take. I believe to make a start on this we need to agree on some items we are interested in, then I can contact the manufacturer and find out what their moq is and we can go from there. We can re-advertise on the forum for people wanting to join together for that item and see how many we get.
What are your thoughts? Jenmat :D
Hey,
I am in Perth, Western Australia. What type of products where you looking at and what moq range would we be in? Regards, Adam
Hi guys
I am interested, and I am willing to try a few different things. I mainly want to deal with electronics, as my friend wants to start selling game consoles and games. I myself don't mind branching out and trying a few different things. Let me know what you guys want, and I'll see what I can order in addition. Also if you need a few potential contacts if this goes ahead, let me know. I have accumalated a list of companies during my research. And its good to see another person from Perth here Adam.
I am in Melbourne and also very interested. Unfortunately these days companies have a large minimum order to get any good prices and I don't have lots of $$$$ to do this as yet.
Let me know what products you are thinking of as I am open to all suggestions. liz
Hi guys,
I'm glad to see so many Ozs here. I'm Geoffrey and i'm from Perth as well. I am interested in selling ipods (especially ipod nanos). I found a few companies online which have quite good feedback from their customers. Jenmat, opening a forum for this will be brilliant where we can estimate how much stock we can get and we can do things easier as we are all in the same country! =) If anyone of you need more personal info from me, please do not hesitate to PM me. Regards, Geoffrey
Count me it.
I'm Julian from Adelaide. I guess the ultimate test is what buy price Harvey (Norman) gets his stuff for and how much his electricity bill is!! We could trade with the lights off but would we get a seriously good buy price?? ($ agreements between retailers/suppliers would be sensitive and water tight) However the only way to know is if we do the exercise. Another option may be if the manufacturers/suppliers won't talk to us then maybe the retailers will (they work off volume bonuses aswell). My Cousins best mate runs a Good Guys store locally. I wonder what his reaction would be is we ordered X thousand PS3's from him, for instance. From Adelaide Suburbia he was never going to sell to the Perth market anyway!! Product has to be cost effective to ship and suit a huge target market....yes..... im talking about Nintendo DS / PSP's / 360 / PS3. IMHO we should stay away from clothes and anything where peoples taste and size comes into it (limited market). Lets give the kids, or should I say parents, what they want......cheap gaming consoles. Interested in TEAM AUSSIES collective thoughts. Financiers welcome to pledge $ by PM.
