I am starting to have increase traffic to my web store from advertising on google, but I have not had an increase in sales. Can anyone offer some insight on this. Is there something wrong with my site, or are the products just not worth it? Thanks for your feed back.

the site seems, well a bit amateurish to be honest. if i found that online randomly, i proberly wouldn't buy from it straight away.... not sure hjow you could make it better thou, try imitating slightly designs from more popular online stores. but not too much, stay unique

Hello, yes (this is a bit of a long read but it is useful).
I can very easily work out that your screen resolution is 1024x768. Also, this is what you have set your site at. HOWEVER, although 1024x768 is officially the most popular surfing resolution, some people are still surfing on 800x600.
Now, what this means is that your site doesn't fit well on 800x600 (roughly 40% + use this). You should make sure your site is only 800 pixels wide otherwise the 800x600 people have to scroll sideways which isn't much fun!
An example of a web-site that caters for both resolutions is ebay.com and uk and probably all the rest of them. See that big band going down the side? That's for the 800x600 people. They won't see that band, the whole website would fit the whole screen.

Can you see the difference? The knife is chopped off on 800x600 mode. Try and make your site work for a variety of resolutions and the aesthetics will look better.

with all do respect to the last poster. Screen res is the last of your worries right now.

You need a better, more professional design yes of course.

But you must always focus on conversion. Make sure you have a good stats program with your cpanel. Something like awstats works well. Make slight changes to your enrty page to determine what factors your visitor react to in a positive way.

Set conversion goals so you don't get discouraged. Mybe like 1:100 or 1:1000 if need be.

Just be sure to cater your site to offer an incredible product and or service then offer something even better.... Always "supercharge" your offers and your conversion rate will climb.

Yes, but the matter isn't 'getting better conversion rates' it is 'how to get better conversion rates.' AND making the site look better is the first step. Read what's being asked again.

yes of course a better more professional look to the site is a priority in this case which i mentioned in my above post.

Anyway i gave my 2 cents for a beginning designer or developer.

Just keep in mind "First impressions are everything".

are there any specific products that I should not offer, or should I add any additional products. Overtime I am planning on adding more products as I have more money to buy products, but is there one or two more that I should stock?
