    Here's another type of scam...

I had a new DVD player up for auction on Yahoo. A guy emails me offering to sell me the same exact DVD player for $80 less than I can get it for at wholesale.( he was from Romania) I ask him why he wanted me to buy a product that I already had and was selling. He said he could save me the cost of the wholesale price. I thought I would see where it would go, I said OK I'll buy. I get a fake email from TNT Express stating that they had an item in my name (all they had was my email address) waiting for me to forward payment to release and ship the item to me.(escrow service) TNT Express verifies that this is not a service they do and this is a fraud email. When I didn't respond, he emailed and said that the item was in my city. He did not know my mailing address at this point. Needless to say I did not continue from there. I sent his email address to US gov fraud investigation.
    Watchout for these emails.

They just broke up an enormous fraud ring in Romania operating out of multiple offices.

Your alerts do help throw these crooks in jail and remove them permanently, so never forget, every little bit counts.

    Sounds like the typical email.

Re: Here's another type of scam...

You guys might b aware of this one, but I got an email from a guy after I sold an electronics Item that said: 'Hey, do you have my conformation number?' 'Please respond!'

It looked identical to ebay question mail you get in your box. However, I went to ebay, and I didn't have this in my messages.

When I went back to ebay, I looked at the message and the guys email (in small print) said [greensgarage@ehay-not ebay.} you really had to look at it. I guess he was trying to either interceppt the package or steal my acct.
