    Problems with Paypal!!

    Hi

    I am having real issues with my Paypal account.. Today my sister created an ebay account but linked it to my paypal account because she did not want to go through all the hassle of creating a new paypal account..

    Now my account has been limited and i can not withdraw any money, also i have been given a huge list off things to do before i can have my account verified again!

    Really annoying just as my ebay business was starting to pickup..

    They want proof off purchase, i mean half the staff i am selling are for friends and family! The rest i am asking my suppliers to email me invoices so i can forward them to paypal..

    Why are they so picky its really frustrating! Can some one please shed some light on this for me.. and how can i avoid such a thing in the future..

    It doesn't take too much to set red flags off at PayPal, especially if we're talking about a relatively new account. That alone will cause this sort of issue for sellers.

    At this point all you can do is go through the process they have outlined to you. I always suggest that you make phone contact with them as well, just so there is an open line of communication, and you know how things are progressing.

    Hi Guys

    I got a email late last night ffrom Paypal stating that they are closing down my account and i can not withdraw any money untill 180 days later..

    Thats like 6 months!! Also they have given me no reason what so ever the reason behind it.. Will that effect my ebay account? Also what can i do about creating a paypal account?

    Before paypal screwed me over excuse my language as i am very angry about the whole thing..

    I had put items up for sale.. Now they have ended and people can not pay me via paypal.. What can i do??

    Also how can i refund my customers through paypal they have taken that function away from me..

    If any of the sales for which you were paid were on eBay, you might be able to work out sending refunds back upstream, as it were. I'd contact PayPal support with the specific transactions and see what can be done, if you can't fulfill the orders.

    OK, this thread seems to be the precursor to the new thread where PayPal have actually taken final action against the account now.

    Franks advice was very sound, but of course you had no access to your account. A way around that would have been to phone PayPal, request those refunds be processed to your customers.

    What's happened here is everything has compounded. Rec Flag, account suspension, account review, items not received disputes, which all feed into the review .... and , well, it snow balls.

    Without a really effective open line of communication with PayPal, this type of case will end up in a really bad place 100% of the time, because the problems all start backing up once you have no way of completing customer's orders.

    For those that do drop ship, especially from China and rely on sales to pay for stock, read this carefully and act accordingly, because you could also find yourself in the same situation and you need to have a plan on how to get passed it if you do.

    Really appriciate your feedbacks..

    I rang paypal yesterday to get them to refund a few off my customers as they have taken that function away from me.. After all that was done i asked if i could open another paypal account to keep my ebay business going..

    She told me that i can never open another account, basiccaly paypal does not want me to be there customer ever again..

    That really has hit me hard as my ebay business is doomed..

    There is no point on trading goods online now as i have no paypal account..

    Thought id share that with you guys..

    Hi nzaman,

    You're lucky your eBay account has not been suspended and/or closed in
    conjunction to your PayPal account's closure.

    You can still continue trading on eBay and other auction sites even if you don't have PayPal. After all there are many viable and accepted alternatives - link hidden

    Hi Nadeem,

    When an issue develops to the state it did with your PayPal account, there is usually no chance of ever using their gateway again. As Richelle said, you're extremely lucky that you eBay account wasn't automatically shut down in association with your PayPal account closure.

    Read the link Richelle has provided for you there, if there is still life in your eBay account, you may well be able to continue to trade under another payment option.

    I would think one of your biggest issues at this point could well be the feedback your eBay account has been hit with in regards to your PayPal account problem. It makes it all the more bizarre to me that you still have an active eBay account, unless for some reason unhappy customers haven't slammed you with a constant run of negs?

    Your account was most likely linked to a suspended account. Your sister may have done something or there is some link between your account and suspended account.

    My first impression was that you sister did something. It just may be that they dont like two accounts from different people on the same IP address and suspect foul play.

    Your eBay account will be shut down eventually so I wouldn't sell anymore on that account.

    Basically, your done on eBay. You will get your money back in 180 days. Simply log in to your account at that time and withdraw remaining funds.
