Does anybody know if the Prostore, should you choose to subscribe to their service, takes the place of the eBay store or if you wind up having two store fees to pay? Also if someone could fill me in on the feees associated with listing via Prostores it would be much appreciated. The banner ad on eBay says that with the Prostore there are no listing fees but yet I cannot seem to find that in writting anywhere on the Prostore website. I am sure I am missing something but for the life of me I cannot seem to find out the "catch" to the Prostore format.

Listing within your Prostore is free. However, any Prostore listings you move over to eBay is charged the regular rate. It is like having two store fees. The only difference is you pay much less with the Prostore but the tradeoff is you don't have the traffic of eBay.

The Prostore site says that there is Final Value fee of .5% per item sold. So you are then paying two final value fees? One for eBay and one for Prostore? Also does your Prostore list as an eBay store? What I am trying to find out is if I can just do away with the eBay store and if I do what do I lose. It sounds like you can list your items on eBay via Prostore so I do not see how you are losing the eBay traffic. Thanks for your help so far :)

Also, does Prostore come with a merchant account (it mentions accepting credit cards in its upsell but I am wondering if it just set up to accept CCs or if it actually comes with an account of its own. I am really trying to get away from Paypal. I am tired of paying the eBay machine all this money for them doing nothing more than storing info on their servers.

you could also try homestead.com. it is cheaper than prostores, but you get a prostore website. That is what I use. THere are no final value fees.

For me the ProStores are the worst way to reach your target market. IMO of course but it just doesn't make good business sense.

You see, you can setup your own store on almost any website for free. There's places like ** Link Removed: Only Available to Registered Members** and so forth that do everything for free.

And then you can line your products on these special free sites, add up your store....and just continually send the traffic to all of them.

It even gave me an idea too on how to expand.....Wow I love being able to tap into this, the creativity is always flowing!

That said and correctly, if you TRULY WANT an eBay store or a e-store/uBid store you're welcome to PAY for one and let it do its job.

Its just creating one using a quick page generator is faster and its FREE.
