O.K., I am new to this game and need some step by step advice. Correct me if I am wrong, but the first thing that I need to do is what?
A. Find out what I want to sell?
B. Find a wholesaler or Liquidator ?
C. start selling the items on e-bay ?

Is this the correct way to begin? There is a lot of great information on this site! So, is this how I start?

Yes, the best thing I have found, is find a product you like to sell, that you have an interest in.

Make sure its not over competitive and make it your Niche, then go find the suppliers and sell it on Ebay.

I have a free information product that I worte on what to sell for maximum profit, it might not be ideal for you, however you can use some ideas for your own Niche products.
