What type of online shop website is the best?

Postby E-Compusys » 17/09/2008 21:05

In search to own an online shop, I came across a wholesale/dropshipping company that wants to offer me preloaded online shop that will enable me add my own products from other sources if I want to, change prices, remove or add items etc. Have full and technical customer support for the site checking in /out with almost 300,000 products to sell for a one time fee.

Please advise me If I should proceed or not

Yours,

it definately looks like another cookie cutter system they sell to make profits off of. I would look elsewhere as these types of companies exist in all forms everywhere

NO DO NOT FALL FOR IT I see that you are new and maybe you have not read the 100s of post on here from people who have fell for the exact same thing but it does not work and I know if you were like me when I first got into dropshipping I was looking for the cheapest method but you will end up being out hundreds of dollars and make no profit what so ever I would bet anything on it and if someone says any different they are either lying or an affiliate READ THESE FORUMS atleast once a month some poor soul comes along wondering why he has not sold a product and guess what it is from the same place if it was that easy everyone would be doing it what people do not understand especially new people is that it just does not work that away. Do what you want it is your money PM me and I can tell you a better way.

Before you waste your money on a preloaded store I would like to tell all of you a little story, I have been a member of dropship design for 2 years and and have listed many products but have sold NONE!!! I think this site is a scam site why because when you join thier 200.00 plan you still have to pay 99.00/yearf or telephone customer support which is crazy.they also charge you for just about everthing so they make money on all the side products they sell. my store was no1 on google for a week and I still did not sell anything Now dropshipdesign.com is charging you 49.00 if you want to get an 5% discount on some products in your store that you already paid 200.00 for. They also charge you 99.00 for data feed service which should also be free .I highly recommend to all that do not join a preloades store with dropship design to stay away from them because if you add up the price for all of thier services it could well add up to 700.00 or more and you may still not sell anything . One last note they also have acces to your email so they can steal your customers also they charge 49.99 pert year for renewal. And finally they just added a pay later feature and you have to pay 49.99 for that feature too and it is only good on orders over 50.00 Stay away fro these scam artist!!!

Yep, some really good solid advice being handed out here by members in my opinion certainly.

These preloaded garbage sites pray on people who are too lazy to do their own research and development. I know it all sounds great, gee....I pay them some cash and all of a sudden they give me a key to as shop filled with treasure...how easy is that!

Well, it is easy...for them. They take your cash and leave you trying to sell products with either no, or extremely little margin. Some even then use your shop to promote their business and sell more to unsuspecting people. I've heard people say well that doesn't make sense because if their products aren't selling then they're not making money.

Do the maths, they don't give a damn if you sell anything, in fact I would imagine it be somewhat amusing to them if anyone does manage to sell something to some poor sucker. They have already made their money with your set-up fee, and then most continue to screw the unfortunate few that try and persist with ongoing fees.

The shops are designed for nothing more than to help themselves to your cash, and in my opinion they are definitely a scam. Strangely enough, as with most scams they attract those who are looking for the cheap and easy way out, and while that attitude exists, scams will continue to flourish.

Simply give your money to a charity, you'll feel better and your money will do some good.
Or
if you're really determined to get nothing for your money, send it to me. I won't give you anything but at least I'm telling you the truth.

I thought I would give my 2 cents....

These preloaded sites are a joke - and a rip-off. I agree with geoff 8485. Seller have virtually no control of the details. They are at the mercy of the Site Owners.

I have a friend that fell for it. I took a look at the site. I was appalled at the quality of the items and the shipping detials for each item. Very few items are sent economically.

This puts the seller at a extreme disadvantage. For example, say a customer wants to buy a pet comb. It only costs about 2.99. They are excited and proceed to the checkout. Keep in mind the item only weighs about 6 ounces.

That is when the buyer is shocked to find that it will be shipped by UPS (the seller has no choice in the matter) for a whopping $9.99.

There is no real way to make tangible money, and the seller is stuck with some real "buyers remorse".

Steer Clear!!!!

Hi jaberwalk,

Thanks for sharing that with everyone. I'm sure that site will be crossed off their list.

Cheers :)

Listen to the people on here. I once saw the same opportunity as you. Dollar signs danced across my eyes. I asked Salehoo about these factory style money pits. Every person who answered said the same as your responses.

The advice saved me hundreds of dollars. Instead I just opened on Bonanzle.
My first sale happened this last weekend. It happened only after I upgraded to Plus Membership where Bonanzle charges me $10.00 a month.

This is what is beginning to work for me. Maybe it can start to work for you.

Here's my suggestion:

Before you go and spend a few hundred dollars go to ecrater.com & get a free store, advertise & experiment with listing, when your happy with this idea, than go professional with your own site. The ecrater site is free & if it fails you lost nothing.
