Hi Tracey you might have to grin a bear it for a little while longer. Ebay USA has allowed Aussie version link hidden access to their site and having spoken to Paymate recently they feel it is just a matter of time before Ebay.com.au allow this as well. Also check out Paymate stores as this is a fast growing marketplace with no neccesity to use Paypal.

Yep, I'm a big fan of the service, and it will destroy PayPal when ebay opens access to Aussie sellers here.

We use it for a food brokerage I am involved in, 2.4% flat rate, 24 hour transfer, and if the customer makes the payment before 4pm Sydney time they will usually fast track the payment into your account that night!

As Wes has also pointed out, Paymate Stores, we are in the process of getting on board with that platform, it's going to be a solid market place in the future, and one that you should be considering getting a presence in I would say.

Btw, go easy on the BIGGER bit mate, I haven't touched a doughnut in the last..........gee........must be 20 minutes or so now!

    : )

    Cheers

    Re: alternatives to paypal?

They are, but bare in mind they don't yet have the traffic flow of ebay.

In Australia if you are talking about traffic flow, then you are taking ebay. You should also check out the Trading Post as an option, but would definitely suggest covering your market with Paymate Stores at this point.

You could throw Oztion into the mix, but I'm afraid I remain unconvinced about them as a serious marketing platform myself.

Bonanzle is a free listing option, although US based, does have a growing number of international sellers and buyers starting to flow, would suggest taking up a position there as well.

    Hey everyone,

Is Paymate's Marketplace open to the US? If so, what is the link?

    Thanks,
    Don

Hi Don, my understanding is that it is open to US clients, and they are really keen on getting some business happening. Well worth taking a serious look at and fire any questions you have straight to them, customer service is second to none!
