    Australian Import Duties Electronics

    Shipping & Taxes

When dealing with Chinese wholesalers, shipping costs are a significant factor to be considered. Chinavasion uses a range of reputable international couriers which you can choose from during the check out process. The shipping cost is then added to the cart price. What are not included are the import duties you may incur when the goods arrive in your country. This is to be paid to the couriers when they deliver the products. Dropshippers need to be aware of this or else their customers may be landed with the import duties at their doorstep
    .

As I am involved in doing this I checked with Aussie Customs and thought I'd share the info with any others doing the same.
Importing to Australia if goods value is less than $1000 value there is no import or GST duties payable.

    HOWEVER

If importing multiple items that arrive at same time they are 'lumped' together and the total declared value if above $1000 becomes taxable.

    Hope this helps all.

Yes, and it's a good point that you raise.

You really need to leave at least two weeks between orders, because delays here and there can see orders all back up and arrive at the same time, then you get hit!
