I cannot sell anything from Salehoo - What should I sell?

I was trying to sell product from salehoo's advertised suppliers.

Almost 100% of salehoo's advertised suppliers are offering products much expensiver than what ebay sellers are offering.

What can I sell from salehoo's advertised suppliers? Any suggestion?

You are right most things that I saw on Salehoo do cost more, since that is the case why use them? If someone can tell me how to cancel before the day trial period is up.

There are things out here to sell. I thought the same thing at first as well. You have to search. You can not expect to just type in ipod and have it fall into your lap at the greatest price in the world. Do not expect to make 100% profit on an item. If it was that easy everyone would be doing it.

This is where many sellers go wrong. They try to compare real wholesale to the below wholesale prices ebays items sell for. You can find some great products to sell but research is needed. Or you can try liquidations. Buying items for a percentage of wholesale. Generally 10% to 15%. In my opinion thats where the real money is at.

You can go back to the page from where you clicked to join salehoo to find the link to get a refund if you really don't want to keep it.

Difficult I can do right away. Impossible takes a little longer

Those of you that are wanting to cancel your memberships I am curious about a few things.

    1. What are you looking to sell?
    2. What price range are you looking for?
    3. What kind of profit do you expect to make on each item?
    4. Where do you plan on selling your items?

I am one of the new members and it does not look as easy as walking in to a Sam's club and finding things in bulk or marked down. I am interested in finding Madden 2009, Norton Products, Xbox360 to sell on Ebay or at Amazon. Perhaps even women's sleepwear.

I have a feeling I maybe at the wrong place. I would like to work from home. I suppose if was easy everyone would be doing it. The searches I have done have not returned any results. One thing I have found no here that supplies may have a Madden a year or two back and want $30 for it. I would like to know where the people will be getting the next Madden for next year or even the 2009 one

Unfortunately online selling is not easy as you point out, but that doesn't mean that if it was everyone would be doing, in fact as hard as it is, everyone is still trying to do it, and that just makes it harder to find your own little successful corner.

Those of us that have been here for a while see this all the time, new members asking where all the good suppliers are to sell on ebay, and why are all the products cheaper on ebay than from the suppliers listed here.

It's simply not realistic to expect to find a supplier that will sell you one item at a price that will allow you to compete on ebay, when the big sellers on ebay are buying in massive stock loads, and are there for getting high volume discounts making it impossible for the small seller to sell.

In most cases wholesalers themselves are using ebay as a market place to distribute their products, and it's not even close to possible to beat those prices because they can sell at a volume wholesale discount direct.

Having said that there are members here that do find things to sell, one member just found a tidy little earning product from a supplier here just the other day, in fact a product that was about $100.00 cheaper than his nearest competition on ebay!

Seriously, if you are looking at ebay as your market place then you need to come with plenty of cash to buy in volume, anything less than that and you really are just one of the other 10 million people around the world looking to break into the market, but probably never will.

Other options include liquidated stock, quite a popular choice these days and might be a good source to chase up for the sleepwear, but even then if you don't buy in enough volume you may struggle for margin.

Seriously, for those wanting to start a business, online selling would be one of the hardest that I have seen to get into successfully.

Can't help with the madden unfortunately.

Just pick a niche. You will always have the 'big guy' competition. But, you will be surprised that people will buy from you just because they can have the 'personal' service that you can offer. Price is not always the thing. Pick something you would buy yourself and you have a passion about. Don't worry about Ebay or Amazon, it is like trying to compete with Walmart. You can't in price, but you can in passion and personal touch customer service. I do agree that some of these on Salehoo are not the best prices I have seen, but it will get you 'in' the online selling. Don't expect the 'get rich' quick thing though. But once you find your niche, you will then focus on marketing the manufacturers so you can sell their products via purchasing from them.

Re: I cannot sell anything from Salehoo - What should I sell?

I guess I look at the situation from a different point of view.

The biggest benefit that I have received from joining Salehoo is the information that is shared in the forum. I have also found a couple of suppliers that I will be researching further - item by item.
I have one dropshipper that I use right now, but only for about 4 products, because they were the only products that I could make money on.
I started with the idea that I would sell 'this' or 'that', but when it comes down to it, I have had to make a change in my thinking.
Now, I look at a company and try to find one product that they offer that I can make money on - using ebay as a standard. Sometimes this research can take hours before I decide not to use them anymore.
I know that most people don't have time for that kind of research...., but that is how I do it - when I am looking for products that I can sell day in, day out. Otherwise, I really think that liquidations are the way to go - there just isn't any product stability.... you never have the same thing more than a couple here and a couple there.

I am glad I found Salehoo.
I was using a company here that was dropshipping for me but they stopped the program.
I have found another and am having some brisk sales. But I didn't find them here.
They are dropshipping for me and I figure I will make at least 1500 per month net
probably a lot more over time.
I'm just in the first month so we'll see how it goes.
I might be sharing this with other members here at some point.

Jimmy has an excellent solution but I'm on hold at the moment.

There are some asian companies I found here that I may get involved with but
may go through a broker experienced in asian trade.

I may go to asia and even sell from there while visiting.

I use Salehoo as a shooting point and idea starter.

Sounds like you have hit a gold mine with that drop shipper planes, you don't hear about that sort of success rate with drop shipping very much at all anymore.

I can only imagine you have found yourself a hot little niche market.

Couldn't agree more with getting a sourcing agent when dealing with Asian companies. A good sourcing agent can save a fortune, and all the hassle as well.

It's a good tip for anyone serious about doing business in Asia.
