    Hi Raysopal,

It's good to hear about your own auction site and that you find SaleHoo of great help to your business! :)

Now, everyone knows how much traffic eBay generates so what you can do is get the word out about your own auction site, optimize it for the search engines, advertise. There are a lot of great ways to do this.

    1. You can sign up for online selling/wholesale forums like link hidden and other related sites and introduce your auction site. There are a lot of sellers out there who are constantly on the look out for eBay alternatives. Given that you are offering yours with no fees, then, it wouldn't be that hard to stir interest.

    2. You can try social networking/social bookmarking sites.

    3. You can try link hidden. It is a FREE SEO optimization tool.

    4. You can set up a blog, an email newsletter or an affiliate program.

Good luck and I wish you all the best!

Ray - I hope your auction site works well for you! I am new around here and would like to find out a few things about your site. Tell me is it search engine optimized? Do you know how your visitors get to you - search engine or other advertising? Have you made some sales yet?

    Hi Raysopal,

I am also looking to create my own website. Can you please tell me which website builder you have used to create it. I tried to sign up with ecrater.com but could not do so as I dont have a company name yet.

    Thanks for any advice.

Re: I got tired of eBay and decided to start my own auction website

    One quick question...

You say 50-60K visits a day?
    I have to ask them.

    Total Pages Viewed:
    ( 58958 )

Even adding in your 5-6K visits a day.. Perhaps drop a digit off the end of your numbers?
Not saying you are not getting the traffic, but at the numbers you apparently get... it just doesn't match up with what I see.
And at 50-60K/day I would think you'd have a lot more than 300 members registered.

    Just saying.
    But kudo's to you!
