Reseller tax id number question

    Reseller tax id number question

    I presently reside in Georgia due to my husband's job, but I am a Florida resident. I don't know if I need to get my id # from Georgia or Florida. Is it based where you live or where you reside?

    I would think that it's where your business is registered.

    I think Dave's right about that. Since you currently live in Georgia, I presume you are also doing your business there. So even if you consider yourself a resident of Florida, I would suggest you get a tax ID from Georgia.
