Hello Salehooers,
Just an opinion here about suppliers.
Introduction.........
Chinavasion:
We know how Chinavasion is always celebrated as some great Chinese wholesale electronic company, but did you realize that people on eBay sell the exact same item with prices more than half of what Chinavasion listed. Sure, some would start saying they buy serious bulk. But if you check chinavasion themselves, the lowest price they can offer for example a MP4 player touchscreen 93 AUD level 1 discount, is only 83 AUD at maximum level discount. Ebay can sell with prices as low as 40 AU dollars.
I wouldn't say Chinavasion isn't great. I myself deal with them. The finger points to salehoo on how they list suppliers.Well celebrated suppliers are probably middlemen who sponsored salehoo with CASH and get celebrated as a featured supplier, brainwashing most of us to think they are the real legitimate original supplier.
My point?
Why not publish the real supplier? It seems as if salehoo is only publishing any middlemen that pays them good cash for extensive advertising.
Wouldn't it be better to list the original company for us salehooers. Oh, I forgot, it's not about us. It's about the 3.6 million dollars earned from over 55000 member fees, AND more from suppliers.
We did not buy this program to be fools of advertisement for your profit purposes. We are here to look for suppliers that can offer the best prices and services.
There are so many highly rated suppliers that are middlemen. Why can't you give us the original ones? Somehow suppliers are just looked briefly by staffs and threw into the directory and less than 5% is professionally rated and those that are rated is probably because they sponsored you too, didn't they?
Salehoo, Reliable source? Plenty got scammed here. And the scam sites remained in the directory.
Eg, Denim411.com (SCAM) but it's still in the directory.
I'm really doubtful about 75% of suppliers listed here. Who knows, all the suppliers here are actually middle-men.
Here's a good new slogan.Salehoo- Your only 'Middlemen' Directory.

I feel your frustration. You're very justified in your ill-feelings towards salehoo as I'm sure there are more than a few members on here that are just as frustrated.
As I was browsing through the directory(a while back) for a variety of different goods, I would come across a 'supplier' who was in actuality just another online retailer. This has happened more than on just one occasion. There was a discussion about the drastic changes needed here on salehoo and this was probably a month or so ago. I'm not sure if anybody who's associated with salehoo is listening aside from Jimmy. From what I've taken, though, Jimmy is only a community manager and doesn't directly control the quality of suppliers or content on the site(i think..).
Even the basic peer-based reviews don't make it through- in the case that someone who was either pleased or displeased with a company never has their voice heard which is only to salehoo's detriment. If Jimmy (and his info) wasn't on here, I honestly would've wanted my refund for the membership fees a long time ago. -

I believe you are right. I have been doing research into suppliers, and where to get the electronics like walmart sells. I have been doing this for over a year. The only thing that I can tell you that I have found out is that I did find the ligit suppliers for wii xbox and mp3,4,5 players. Most of all the high end electronics out there. I have found them. From what I can tell you I do know for a fact that one in particular supplier on the salehoo directory is legit. They charge a fee, of $75.00 USD. to join them and participate in the dropshipping program. They have two programs, one is where they deliver merchandise to your actual storefront. The second is what they call the fullfillment program, this is where the $75.00 USD comes in to call. I have never used them but I did however think about joining them. Like I said before they are legit. However, the distributors that I have do not charge any fees at all. These distributors have all the name brand electronics that you see in walmart, Bestbuy, circuit city, etc. I have done my homework, and alot of it. There are legit suppliers that do charge fees again, however, when they charge a fee it is only around $100.00 USD. But, this is just for charging your credit card, and with your first order over the $100.00 YOU WILL GET YOUR MONEY BACK!!!!!!!!
I know this is a very long post, sorry. I have never posted here at salehoo. Nor, anywhere else for that matter. I am just appauled by what I am seeing here. I read a discussion forum on here last week and one of the Master members got ill about someone saying that salehoo is not worth the money. But, I can say I think it was, because I can look on salehoo and find out who all the MIDDLEMEN are that are POSING AS LEGIT SUPPLIERS, OR DISTRIBUTORS. like I said before, I have really done my homework, and I have not researched any of the Chinease MANUFACTURURES that are on salehoo, but now they very wll may be legit I do not know, but we are not here to look for manufacurers. Most of the people that are here on salehoo, are like me. Just new and looking for a legitimate dropshipper. But, they seemed to keep coming up empty handed. THE ONLY ADVICE THAT I CAN GIVE YOU IS THIS: LOOK AT WHO MAKES THE PRODUCT OR PRODUCT THAT YOU WANT TO SELL, AND LOOK AT IT VERY VERY WELL. -

Guys, I understand what you are saying completely. In my opinion the suppliers here are awful, many of them aren't even legit. But is salehoo worth the $67, yes.
It is a little naive to think that you can pay $67 and have access to the best suppliers out there. Not going to happen, I have probably around 20 high quality suppliers who dropship goods and I didn't find one of them on salehoo. Its just about research. There is no magic site with a list of suppliers.
Salehoo is a good reality check because it isn't easy.
If you really want an easy way to earn some money on eBay then you can just sign up to my wholesale dropshipping deal, plenty of room for profit on all my products because I don't want to mislead anyone. It will cost you -

Well you know this post has came up alot lately and I believe this site is on cruise control someone sits at home collects alot of checks and obviously does not care if so the sites would have been removed a long time ago but I can tell you one thing I know for sure there is better places with good suppliers. -

I will be going to Hong Kong,Thailand,(i was going to Thailand 2 days ago but they closed the airport,so Thailand will wait until the political situation is better.)Vietnam,China,Indonesia to meet suppliers in person.I can already cross off around 12 suppliers from HK and China they dont allow anyone to see the merchandise,it dont figure HA.They only allow online viewing of merchandise.Im going to make a website and post these suppliers.It will have all the information you need.Customs,shipping issues,Where to get business information and, anything else you will need to know.I will cover it all.I will have UK, Australia,Canada,USA,Asia,and a few other countries.IT WILL BE FREE..Had enough of affiliates bragging lame supplier lists.Lists that dont name the main supplier.So called wholesalers who get their merchandise from the main supplier and make websites claiming to be the main supplier.Should be finished in February.It will be free and the only true website with the best suppliers worldwide.I will give advice such as did you know you can go to Chinese factory's and buy for pennies on the dollar.Yes they have left over merchandise,and since the world economy is on a down turn,now is the time to take advantage! People been going to China for years buying unsold merchandise from the factories in China.I will be going to all the asian trade shows.I already have a good number of suppliers from usa not listed in salehoo.Why pay for the information? i will have no bias and will post only the best of the best suppliers.No need to look at 20 companies selling the same crap from the same supplier,yeah they may have diff. websites thats about all.Yes you can make money from a dropshipper,i tested it, and even said how its done on some other post.Ill have info on how to sell your merchandise.I already suggested to 2 people (FROM Salehoo) on how to make easy money.Both ignored and said this (i want to make big profits) where is camera where is electronics where is ipod...You want to make money,its a 24 hour job,thats what having your own business is, a 24 hour job.If you want easy money play the lottery! because a business selling merchandise is a 24 hour problem.Most people dont have 40,000 dollars to buy the top merchandise for a good price.Stop waisting your time looking and get a business plan to build up to it.I would have made 6,000 dollars this last week while you sat on the computer looking for ipods and such.Anyway ill be going to suppliers in person,ill take pictures if allowed.Should be done in February. -

I go to those places alot anyway.might as well do some good.At least 12 china suppliers and a few HK suppliers refused to let me see their products.They stated you can see them online,we dont show products in person.So they will be on the list to avoid.
I already know alot of asian wholesale companies as it is.Just from going places.I seen the SMC safari animals at one place where the retail price was smc wholesale price.The crystal glass with the light up base 1.75usd retail.Polo shirts, name brand (REAL) 6.00usd a shirt.Wait until February you will see alot of products.Portable 8' dvd players brand name 45.00usd.Just seen those today.refurb
nintendo ds lite 45.00 usd.Just to name a few. -

I know another member that was heading over to Brazil across the new year period to check out some trade shows, and make some contacts there. Wouldn't it be nice if we had some members to cover some other manufacturing points of interest.

As for suppliers not wanting to do business in person, especially Chinese, they are definitely the ones to stay clear of. I know that Chinese in particular high a very high respect for people who deal face to face, as I'm sure with your experience you would have also found.

Yeah that is a nice proposisition for everyone most certainly, 99% guaranteed genuine contacts. I already have several manufacturers on my books and they are definitely the way to go. It is the only way you can compete on eBay in my opinion.
I hear a few people complain about the lack of good dropshippers etc and wanting the real factories and such. Do you the factories dropship? of course not, that is why china vasion and places do well. If you are looking for a dropshipper you do not have masses of capital so you cannot compete which is where peoples thinking is going wrong. Most of the companies I use have MOQ of between 100-500 units so your looking at $5000 minimum spend.
Business trips are the way forward though, keep up the good work Singapore! -

The key is to find a product that no one else is selling on ebay.Most people realize that china made junk (electronics,tools etc.)pales in comparison to the japanese products.I value my reputation on ebay and don't want to sell junk.I'm still searching on salehoo for a good dropshipper who offers prices where I can make some kind of profit.The problem with dropshippers is that they often sell out of your product before your auction ends,and then you are forced to refund the customer.You have to monitor the inventory daily.It's easy to get ripped off,so do your research before laying down your cash for some information you don't need.People are making tons of money selling information.Just a few thoughts.Good luck!!! -

Yes you are correct pro. I do not Control the suppliers. I can make requests to have them removed if there are many problems with them. But as far as what goes up I generally do not know about them. Alot of people think im the owner and creator of salehoo but that is not the fact. Even though it would be nice considering how many members this site gets a week lol.
Anyways My response to most of you is that Salehoo will always have a large supplier database. Now just becasue a company is too expensive for you does not mean that they are not low cost for another.Remember Us internet sellers are not the only people looking for products. Small retail shops use sites like salehoo to find thier suppliers.
For instance Mkenterprise for a while was a great site for people near china to by cellphones and stuff and they made real good money and we had many members using them and claiming big profits on certain cherry items. But here in the USA thier prices were laughable at most.
Im sure there is a market for every supplier. Just because we dont think they are a good supplier does not mean another is blessed for finding that supplier on salehoo.
And you also have to think that most of these places selll at or near real wholesale prices. When most of you try to find a supplier you are searching ebays average selling prices for comparison. In many cases this just does not happen as ebay most of the time sells items for 20% below the wholesale price.
This is where a majority of confusion starts as many believe wholesale to be 50% or more off of retail price when in reality its more like 5%-15%Wholesale Directory by SaleHoo
