I have just joined with MK for dropshipping and have listed my items on trademe. Trademe has now asked for proof of goods!!! they want a photo of every single 1 of my items next to a current newspaper! they sure know how 2 f things up for me. How am i supposed to dropship when they do this? even worse, my account is suspended until i provide these photos! what should i do? i cant do anything really?

Have you tried contacting them in person. Let them know your buisness relies on a dropshipper. As you do not have the means to stock items yourself.Wholesale Directory by SaleHoo

Have spoken to them on the phone and they say that trdademe does not support dropshipping and that my account will be suspended until i have proof of goods that they have requested. Therefor i have to buy all these phones now lol i will not bow down to this, i will fight on

This is an unfortunate situation. But its no surprise. The media boasts how dropshipping is the ultimate way to make money. But they dont tell you the only way to make money that way is to have your own website that you control. They make it seem like dropshipping is so great for places like ebay and trademe. Its definately not and the scammers have ruined it for all decent people.Wholesale Directory by SaleHoo

I for 1 have had a few run in with Trademe regarding this same problem. The irony is that there are people advertising items on trademe that they don't physically have but seem to get away with it. They've asked that I read their terms & conditions which does state that a seller must possess the item at the time of placing the ad. there's really no way around it so i gave up. Maybe we can get a auction site running purely focusing on dropshipping items only, hmm?. All the best

I have written to Trade Me and advised that drop shipping is an ethical and legitimate way to sell items. I have asked Trade Me to clarify whether drop shipping advertising is acceptable on their site.
I advised Trade Me that any drop shippers used by me would be proven and recognised as genuine through the Salehoo community.
Perhaps if we both approach Trade Me with similar recommendations, we may get a result.
Of course any suggestions have to be acceptable to Salehoo.

Its interesting to read this. Trade me told me that they would consider drop shipping depending on the item but refused to clarify what the items where. Sella.co.nz will accept drop ship sellers and is a lot cheaper. Drop by and have a look at their site. Every listing has gallery. For those here who no Trade me I think it is really quite boring as it is just lists of n pictures as it costs to show one in gallery and only allowed 1 free picture. I find it interesting now that Fairfax owns trade me that Australians are allowed as members. How on earth they are going to control them drop shipping as it will be very hard to know as ems from china would be at least as quick as courier from AustraliaAli McFadden

The indication that I received was they may approve it but that I needed to name the items that I wanted and they would not tell any items that would qualify. Typical trade me management since Sam lost controlAli McFadden
