Forum Home > Products - Discuss a Specific Product > Serious Aussie buyers wanted for teaming up to buy in bulk!Serious Aussie buyers wanted for teaming up to buy in bulk!Hi Im from Mackay Qldand this sounds like a good idea but it seems lik every man and his dog wants to sell video games and stuff. Why dont we think outside the square a bit? I know that in Qld one huge retail market is fishing. In Mackay alone millions of dollars are put through the fishin & campin stores each year. I dont want to just sell something cause its cool, I want to make money! This is just an idea, it may not be a good one but this may be a good market to tap into. What are your thoughts?
Hi all,
I am located in Perth, Western Australia. I can purchase a PS3 (80GB NTSC) + 2 Controllers + 1 Game + 1 Year official Sony warranty, Everything brand new and sealed, for $800 AUD including direct postage per item. Minimum quantity is a hundred units. I will be sourcing it from a direct distributor of Sony in Hong Kong. I believe this is a wonderful price and your resell price would be around $930 AUD. You would be able to sell each item for 1k in the Quokka (Papers) at the very least. The 60GB PS3 sells in Kmart & Electronic Boutique for $999 AUD. International orders are welcome. We can purchase 100 units altogether as a group or you can purchase 100 or more units individually. 100 units is the minimum order. Larger orders are more than welcome. If we purchase it as a group, then a minimum of 10 units per person are to be purchased (meaning $8000 AUD per person). You can have the items sent individually or all at once. Their may also be some Custom's charges if the items are to be received all at once. I will try my best to advise the distributor to mark the shipment as a gift and to undervalue the price to avoid any taxs. Thank you, Kindest Regards
$8 Thousand per buyer, per 10 x items delivered. Please email me your address or alternatively give me a call. Would you also be located in Perth? Your items will be sent within 3 days after confirmation of payment and I will email you the tracking number. You can have all 8 items sent all at once or request them to be sent one at a time or alternatively, request them to be sent all at once but to different address's to avoid tax. Payment method, bank transfer, bank cheque, personal cheque, international wire transfer, Australia Post Money Orders, or please advise. This transaction has a great deal to do with trust and I assure you that I am very honest and extremely trustworthy!
What sort of outlay are you looking at. We wuld have to wrok out some fair way of buying goods. I want to get into surfware or psp players..

Just wondering if this has got off the ground? I am in Melbourne and looking for GENUINE apple ipods. Have bought from China but lost my money, nothing turned up. I can't even find a supplier in Oz. Please let me know if this is going to go ahead. Thanks.
Hi Everyone,
my name is Ben, I’m a kiwi living in NZ. I’ve been a member of Salehoo for a few months now and used a couple of leads (ie sellerkey and chinavision) just small quantities to test the market and the supplier (my advice “don’t go there”) there are good gains but hey the demand has to be there before you can make any serious gains, it’s no good having a 300-400% margin if you only sell one product every other month. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure that one out. I’ve even bought iPods from a reseller in the States to sell/test via Tardme (irreverent take on Trademe burglars) a kiwi auction site, there is always someone who will sell cheaper than you that’s just the way it works I suppose. Same thing for importing used cars from Japan, doesn’t help much when every man and his dog are doing it plus the used car import laws are a changing for us kiwis come January 2008. I’ve been looking for something to sell for my Storesonline website (not yet launched) I purchased almost 4 years ago, hell I’ve got wholesaler lists coming out of my ears, you’ll be amazed with the amount of useless information I’ve got not to mention the amount of time I’ve wasted tracking things down (but I guess it’s not really wasted I’ve learnt a hell of a lot along the way) robby01nut made the comment in a thread, “I don’t want to just sell something cause its cool, I want to make money!” he’s definitely on to it there, my sentiments exactly. Where am I heading with this? Well I am currently in the throes (just a matter of dotting the I’s and crossing the T’s now) of securing AU/NZ distribution rights for a great innovative product I believe has real potential. I want to hear from serious ”alliances”/individuals both in NZ and Aussie wanting to make a tidy return. The cost of my product per unit is $30AU landed in your State’s main port the product retails for around $100AU. However there must be enough interested parties to secure a 20ft container load which holds 960 units, this must be paid for up front. Keep in mind marketing and promotion (crucial) and service issues (returns, questions, etc.) must be accounted for, you or your group must also take care of storage and internal distribution once the product has landed as well as being required to satisfy your local tax laws(GST). Depending on the response this opportunity will be offered exclusively to Salehoo members. There are two reasons for this, firstly I don’t really want the big retail chains to get richer (they don’t share their suppliers with the likes of us) and secondly I believe the people on this forum are motivated enough to drive and protect there own investments aggressively. Do the math, the product is priced right, the competition is restricted to a particular user group (Salehoo members) and in my opinion the quality product is new, innovative and there is a demand. This is a genuine opportunity, the EU distributor sells the units for 45 pounds retail, go figure. Hopefully I’ve told you enough to whet your curiosity, what I need now are expressions of interest. I wont answer immediately, I will read all requests for info and send out a group response by reply email. My preference is that you email (see my profile). Cheers
Hi all
I'm a newbie to Salehoo and finding this thread very interesting. I'm a proactive girl - don't like procrastinating. I think this is a fantastic idea. Well done jenmat! However one person did point out a crucial problem - postage/delivery cost as we are all in different state. I have two suggestions to solve this issue: (1). Make it a statewide group rather than nationwide. So each state has their own. Agree on a central location for product pickup. However not much of buying power here as there will be less people, less money pooled, therefore less buying power. (2). Maintain national group. More people with more money and lots more buying power! Decide on a shipping address and we all share the shipping and import tax cost equally. Most companies require an ABN/ACN to trade. I have an ABN and my husband has a company pty ltd for his consulting business. Those two are on offer as i would like to be part of this. Also it would be much easier to do a mass email rather than through this forum. More privacy once we all start this venture. If anyone is interested, email me ** Link Removed: Only Available to Registered Members**. In the subject line please put in "salehoo forum venture" and add what products you are interested in otherwise your email will go straight into my spam folder. Personally for the last 2 months i've been researching on wii, nds/lite consoles, games and accessories. I've already got a few contacts. I have a few ideas apart form shopfront and ebay stores. If you are interested, email me. I would like this venture start hopefully jan-feb 2008. Instead of talking about it, LET"S DO IT! ANYONE WITH ME? Email me! Hope to hear from you all soon. Cheers
Frank-of-Oz here:
Very much interested to get a buyer group together. I found that importing from O'seas costs a lot in charges (import duties, charges, etc) Getting stuff from "Liqiudation.com", well look at their post/handling charges. A consortorium of buyers will help tremendously. Count me in. Frank
Speaking of sad business, this is a sad day for video game journalism.
** Link Removed: Only Available to Registered Members** Just looking at what I received in my inbox, what a total shame to us all. I really wonder who they're fooling.
Interesting ideas guys, although I can see some some issues with getting something like this going.
Perhaps you should consider a group such that Jimmy and myself created, a buyers syndicate if you would. I know it's a long thread to read through now, some 30 pages odd I think.....but it will show you how we managed to take a crazy idea and get the wheels in motion. We are purchasing truck loads of merchandise, in fact our second truckload will soon be on the way as space becomes available with our first load dissapearing on ebay.com Take a read through the salehoo investors group thread, I think it might be helpful to get this group going in the right direction. Btw, anyone really interested in this type of venture, I am presently in the process of selling off my shares in the first group, no regretes at all, it's been a lot of fun, made a lot of contacts, and friends...and sure as hell learnt a lot about liquidation, and how to make money from it, but it never was a long term investment for me as I have my own project to dedicate my time and money to, and that time has now come! Got one existing share left if anyone is interested in buying in, $500US..it's original share value is the asking price. Just private email me for details on that, or if I can help in any other way getting your idea rolling : ) Good luck, I hope this thread amounts to something like ours did, and not just lay here and fester to everyones frustration as most do!
