I am having probs with paypal at the moment as well.
I had a guy buy from one of my auctions, he paid by paypal, I transferred once recieved to my bank account and then posted goods.
Couple of days later I get mail from paypal and ebay saying buyer had lodged complaint that account had been unorthorised use.
I sent paypal details and tracking number for goods, and waited. A week later I get letter that had been resolved but in the buyers favour. My paypal account is now a negative balance (lucky so far they not taken from my bank account) and I have no goods.
I have contested it and is still in process but it is definately not the secure, safe, methods of business that I assumed it to be.

Paypal stinks!!!

We stopped using paypal as an accepted payment type about 6 months ago, what a relief. We accept all major credit cards. No more fraud issues as of yet, cross fingers.

The fraudsters know all the loopholes of PayPal, and exploit them to the fullest to take advantage of unsuspecting sellers.

We got burned by a PayPal scam. I do not want to go into details, Im afraid I will give wannabe scammers some good ideas!

I vote for a boycott of PayPal.

Good Day.

Thanks, I appreciate your help

Yea, I've contacted ** Link Removed: Only Available to Registered Members** before for a non-related issue regarding a site, and they never got back to me

It seems like the only way to have them investigate something, is if they get a bunch of complaints of a certain individual/site

Hi
I agree with the above.
I too filed a complaint with ic3.gov and never heard back. I filed with every fraud fighter agency possible. It is worth the time, because if a pattern is detected, they will act on it.
Thanks

I too have been scammed on paypal. I bought a watch from someone outside of ebay and never recieved the watch. They decided in my favor as well, but because the seller had no money in the account, I got nothing back. I called about it several times afterward and still did not get anything from paypal. I hate to say it, but you will probably never get anything back from the seller for those PSPs.

We would like to inform that any transaction, regardless how they are made, that is online or in store, require that you provide your RBC Visa card number and your expiry date. They constitute an agreement between you and the merchant you are dealing with. As a result, should this transaction be fraudulent and you would have paid willingly for either, a good or a service, the amount spent would not be refunded. Therefore, we advise you to be very careful about making online transactions before making them. RBC Royal Bank Visa cannot be held accountable of the use you are doing of your RBC Visa.

Hi guys, I am thinking to use my credit card to pay for online transactions, however when I read that does this mean that credit card is not safe as well? Could anyone help me with this. Thanks alot

You can't find good suppliers all in one source. All good potential suppliers are spread out, and its your job to invstigate and make deals. Just because you have to pay to enter a site doesn't mean it will be scammer free. You still have to investigate companies regardless.
My mistake was not investigating the company fully. The fact they accepted PayPal made me think they were an actual company, since I kept hearing how PayPal is so safe. I want to blame Salehoo for this, just because they had me believe PayPal is safe; but I'm not going to blame anybody but myself.

Paypal is never safe. I hear of people getting scammed by recieving an empty box with just a tracking number on it. And paypal find the dispute in the scammer!!!

I guess all you can do is go on paypalsucks.com and vent your anger there. Some of them might be able to help too

You shouldn't blame paypal. Paypal is basically made for transactions made inside of eBay. They do not gurantee anything will work outside of eBay. Plus, what else do you want to use? I bet everything else has holes and scammers will always be able to work around any payment method.

People...we are not safe online and have no one and no service to rely on...the odds of ic3.gov getting back to you are 1:100,000,000,000....just because salehoo charges also, does NOT make them any different at all than Alibaba and all the other B2B sites out there...paypal is another one...it is not the safest way to pay NOTHING IS SAFE ON HERE! Here are some tips...verify your buyer/seller and make sure he is verified with atleast 10 verified transactions under his belt...Hate to say it, but you're right, you can only blame yourself...its a dog eat dog world here...good luck in surviving...

Re: I got Scammed!...Damn it!...PayPal was used

Yes I also had problems with Paypal. I Brought some watches from "ada9905" DHgate.com network. One Watch didn't work at all, the other (2) didn't keep time well. Paypal said they weren't responsible for items that didn't work. Couldn't ship them back into China either. I was told by U S Postal Service, watches, jewelry, cameras can't be shipped back into China, customs would keep the items. When I contacted seller said he was sorry. No Refund, No Replacements. . If I shipped insured mail, package would be opened, items kept.
