That is really a terrible news for anyone to read about this type of disaster from Paypal. Thank you for passing this news for all of us to be more aware of our online activities with Paypal. I didn't even think this could be possible for someone to pull this off. It does scare me a great deal. I certianly hope you do get your money back. It just unfair for you to be taken advantage of. Hmm Keep us update if possible.

Well, I got news back from paypal about my dispute. It was found in buyers favour. Someone had been using his account. So even though I had followed all procedures with the sale through ebay, was able to supply tracking number and show goods had been sent, I am out $300 by paypal and no chance of getting my item back. So I guess is good that paypal protects the buyers, but as a seller, I don't like the way it all works. Anyone after receiving goods could make complaint that was not them using there account and get refund. Why is it so much easier to scam people than it is to be legit? :x

Paypals needs to have responsability for that money, bcs if they get their percentage and they work with that money for some days... they have to have any responsability.
All the companies that work handling money they have "money insurance" (as Banks), and they can used it in cases like this. You have to continue complain with manager every single day... they have to give your money back, bcs it was Paypals fault. good luck!!

And I can see why, the legit buyer could be thinking, hey this is a bit dodge. What if he doesn't pay up?

I wouldn't sell if it was pay once you get item, You could say you never recieved it. Escrow is the best but even legit sellers don't use it?

Some big police dude should say that Escrow is the only way a company can sell online or else they can't sell. Then everything would be happy days until some scammers found a loophole in Escrow and exploited it.

I wouldve thought that PayPal could see the bank the guy deposited into. Its like with your own bank account, if you deposit money from it into someone else's it shows up on your statement.
